I'm so blessed to know Gale, the owner of CG Massage with the gift of healing hands and the heart for serving people. Gale really relieves my knots and it's amazing that she can press the spot exactly before I even explain it myself. Below are some backgrounds and tips if you are thinking to visit for the first time: Gale is legit. She used to be an independent contractor for Chiropractic Offices assisting Chiropractors and Physical Therapist Doctors and Acupuncturist. Now she finally has her own office which is the CGMassage. Gale is outstanding with her skills. I came to her with sore muscles but I couldn't point out where exactly hurts and Gale could just press to the exact spot. This is truly amazing to me by having someone knows better about how you're feeling. PACKAGE There are so many and whichever you picked will end up relaxing in the end. I personally chose the combination massage which is combined treatment of Swedish (promotes circulation), Deep Tissue (releases deep pain and muscle tension), Sports (promotes flexibility and decrease the risk of injury), Trigger Point (relieve stress and a tight area within muscle tissue) and Cranial Sacral (happy head massage that help relieve my horrible TMJ and headache). LOCATION & SPACE The office is located on the 2nd floor of the corner building on Gridley and 183 St ( Same plaza from the KongFuTea and the flower shop). The building signage says "SOLA SALONS", and you'll need to take the elevator up to #212. Space is cozy with one bed only like the VIP clinic style. I've had encounters with Gale at events in the past where she was a vendor, and I enjoyed every single massage I received. However, this was my first time visiting her business for a full service massage. Here is a breakdown of my experience: Scheduling: Gale does massage by appointment only and is extremely accomodating. She asked what was the best time for my wife and I to come and let me know what spots she had available to best fit our needs. She even advised us of common traffic trends during certain hours seeing that we were coming from [near] downtown Los Angeles to her office. She sent email confirmation of the appointment and sent reminders via text message. Location: Easy to find with great parking. Surrounded by shopping and restaurants. You can easily make a full day date and keep everything in one area. The building is well lit, clean, quiet, nice clean bathrooms. Gales suite is BEAUTIFUL. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a calm atmosphere, the relaxing smell of jasmine, the PERFECT temperature, and relaxing music. She hadn't rubbed one spot on my body yet, and I already felt relaxed. Service: 5 star service! Gale is polite, professional, fun/funny and makes you feel like you're not just a customer, but a friend. We filled out a brief questionnaire concerning our health and if there was any specific kind of pain or tension and Gale went over them with us afterward. My wife is pregnant, so she got the prenatal massage, and I recently had surgery, so per Gales reccomendation, I got a combo massage with slightly less pressure as to not aggravate the area that was still healing [which is not something I would have even thought about, so I'm glad Gale advised me... she took our care very seriously]. Each session was an hour and was amazing from front to back, head to toe. At the end of each of our sessions, she let us know where she felt the most tension/tightness and gave us tips and tricks on how to alleviate them [covered everything from sleep positons and posture to general stress and worry]. The pricing was great, payment was easy, and I slepy very well afterward. I found an exceptional massage therapist that's helping me on the road to recovery. I've had several medical problems in the last 4-5 years. I've been on medication, done physical therapy, but was told there was nothing else that could be done for me. I refused to give up and decided to try massage. Gale is a real trained professional, I joke she's part: nurse, physical therapist, mental health profesional and massage therapist. She heard me, really heard me and how scared I was for 20-30 minutes. I wasn't expecting miracles and was just hoping for some pain management via massage. She got working and after my first massage and I saw results! I went two weeks without a migraine, better sleep and was able to sit "Criss cross applesauce" on the floor; something I hadn't done in 5 years, because of a herniated disc. Gale has significantly improved my life in a short amount of time. She even gives me exercises to do at home. Wow! Gale is a miracle worker. If you need a massage because your body is broken, you're in pain and nothing can fix it... see Gale! I've been suffering from two pinched nerves and a rib out of place. My neck and right shoulder were in agony for weeks. Two sessions of chiropractic and acupuncture did nothing. After feeling the size of the knots I had all over, I decided I needed a REAL massage. You know the kind, not a fluffy relax massage where you take a nap - but a massage where you have to breathe deep through the pain because some bad energy and deep knots are gettin WORKED. Gale has miracle hands and I could immediately feel how much more loose my shoulder was after seeing her. I knew I'd be inflamed the next day because that's a lot of lactic acid to release, but I could still tell I'm in such better shape today. I made sure to drink a ton of water. OMG she has the hands of an angel. I had a bad tension headache to where I could not turn my neck or hold my neck down without feeling intense pain from the base of my neck to the side of my temple. I took Excedrin for 2 days and it did nothing! I reached out to to CG Massage and without telling her where the pain was but only telling her that I had a tension headache she went right to the source! and did her thing. She knew exactly where my pain was without me telling her nothing! I was sore afterwards, which was to be expected because I had a lot of tension, but she gave me some stretching and breathing exercises to do, which really helped!, and let me tell you! I have not had any Excedrin medicines since I got a massage from her and I am completely free of pain! and I can move my head again! She was able to work out my shoulder and neck tightness. She's very skillful and knows where to find the exact spots. Her trade of arts including the knowledge of the trigger point massage in addition to the deep tissue and Swedish methods. She's a very caring being, full of light. My mom received a massage from Gale and this is what she had to say... "If you are suffering from Chronic Low Back Pain, Sciatic Nerve Pain or Nerve Spasms, please call Gale as she has what I call "Miracle Hands". For 7 Months I had suffered from Chronic Low Back Pain, Sciatic Nerve Pain and Nerve Spasms down my right leg. During this time my Doctor tired everything by prescribing strong muscle relaxers, pain killers, a shot into my hip, 2 separate cycles of steroids and physical therapy.
