My sincere thanks to Dr. Lim. I won't bother listing all of the hospitals and A-List neurologists, specialists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, energy manipulators and others that I've taken my daughter to see with the hope that they might be able to relieve some of the pain and other unpredictable symptomatology she suffers on a daily basis. I'd never consider giving up trying to find help for her, but have to admit that options had gotten slim in the past few years, and then I happened upon Dr.Lim's site and noted that she approached her chiropractic practice with an appreciation for the relationship between a person's nervous system and pain which immediately resonated with me. We live in the desert so it took awhile to make an appointment happen, but once there, my daughter and I were both calmed by Dr. Lim's relaxed demeanor and her willingness to listen fully to both of our concerns. I can tell when my daughter is comfortable with someone by the clarity of her speech, as the accident caused her to struggle with aphasia, especially when she isn't comfortable with where she's at or who is in her space. With Dr. Lim, my daughter spoke cleary and was able to communicate her health challenges pretty much on her own. Throughout the appointment Dr. Lim was patient and checked on my daughter's comfort throughout the various therapies and chiropractic she applied. When done, my daughter let it be known that she hoped to see Dr. Lim again soon. Back in the desert later that same evening, my daughter happily approached me and demonstrated that she was able to turn her head 180 degrees in both directions - something she'd been unable to accomplish for at least a few years. Dr. Lim is hands down the best chiropractor I've been to. She is so intuitive and extremely knowledgeable. I first came to her for an alignment for postpartum recovery. I believe I saw her twice before she went on maternity leave and it was truly beneficial. She uses this electric current machine I believe is called PEMF therapy. I am not sure what it is called but I remember you went down my spine with it and was immediately able to detect where I had my epidural injection. The area immediately reacted to the current. It was tingling and I was aware of the injection site for the rest of the day but after that I felt no stiffness or sensitivity. I have had so many moms tell me that the weather affects their injection site and feel pain. But to this day I have not and I truly think it's because of the therapy. Aside from that she helps align me and loosen up my hips and lower back. I love her so much a brought in my newborn and later my husband. I have been on the search for a chiropractor for a few years now. I have not had such ailments where it had to be an ASAP appointment until recently. Ever since my first child, I felt my pelvis and hip were misaligned and it needed to be put back in the right place. Of course, I never followed through with my other local bookmarked chiros on yelp. Recently, I found out we were having another baby and wanted to get this issue taken care of before I started gaining some more baby weight that may worsen my pre existing problem. This not only effective my back but also my right tendon area. I searched yelp again and found Dr. Lim, she was a sight for sore eyes. I also read she specializes in pregnant people and children. From all the reviews on here, I was hoping she would be the one. I checked out here business hours and of course the day I wanted to set up a same day appointment, she was closed. I contacted her via yelps message app to see if she had an availability for the following day after work. She responded back quickly (though she was off) and I was penciled in to see her the next day. I really like their appointment system. It sends you an email reminder as well. On the day of the appointment, I got a little lost. I could not find her place for the life of me. I called the office and to my surprise, she is actually located in a dental place. Luckily, I was not late. The receptionist greeted me upon entry and asked if I was the one who was lost. I nodded yes and smiled. The lobby area is so cozy. I wish they turned on the fake fireplace but it definitely feels homey. I definitely do not feel like just a number they are churning through (like other chiro places). I filled out the patient questionnaire in detail so Dr Lim can better address my issues on my first visit. When she came to bring me to the room in back, she was very friendly and kind. She was very thorough with my visit and took into considerate my pregnant status. I had way more issues than what I imagine but after the first visit, I was able to walk away with a lot less discomfort and was able to sleep at night. It was so nice. Needless to say, I ended up buying the package after my first consult. I will be spacing out my visits throughout my pregnancy for maintenance. If I had more money, I would definitely love to come here once a week. Dr Lim is very kind, informative and good at what she does. I've been to Dr. Lim two times so far and she's amazing. On my initial visit she listened to me and took the time to hear my story, and we discussed my treatment options. My neck and back stiffness is quite severe, but after leaving her office that first visit...I definitely noticed some flexibility. I was able to turn my head more than I had been able to in years. This 2nd visit was awesome as well. I can definitely see myself being able to gain more mobility in my neck and back, I just need to stay consistent with my office visits. She uses the cupping method to loosen stagnant blood that enables circulation and she also uses PEMF which feels like electric shocks. I've been seeing Dr Lim for a few weeks now and it's been such a great healing experience so far! Dr. Lim specializes in nervous system chiropractic care, which is what interested me. So many issues have to do with nervous system regulation, from anxiety to digestive issues to hormone issues. Seeing Dr. Michelle Lim has been the best decision I've ever made for myself! I've had lower back pain for as long as I could remember, and it worsened about a few months ago from deadlifting. I also have been having problems with one of my shoulders where it would hurt to put it behind my back if I were to lie down. I was constantly squatting and deadlifting with pain at the gym, it seemed bearable at the time but I didn't know how much longer I could take it. I've seen countless numbers of massage therapists and none of them were able to really help me with lessening the pain/fixing the problem. I never saw a chiropractor before so I was iffy about seeing one as I have heard from other people that chiropractor didn't really help them -- They didn't see Dr. Lim, so that's why!!! In my first visit with Michelle, she was able to assess me and see all the problems wrong with my spine/hips/everything hahahah! So one of my leg was longer because I think the half of my hip wasn't straight. She started off with Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy throughout my arms and hips. They say big things come in small packages. With Dr. Michelle, they sure do! She tiny but sure can adjust the bejeebus out of you. I had migraine for 3 weeks straight due to improper posture and work related stress. Every little movement caused nausea on top of the pain shooting from my neck up; it was hard to function. I found her thru a mutual friend. My previous chiro is on leave and I was gonna wait but I'm glad I didn't. I went in to get treated after an 8-hr shift on a weekday. I love how Dr Michelle worked with my schedule. I'm sure other patients also appreciate the fact that we don't have to miss a day of work to get treated. I was looking for relief to headaches and did not want to take anymore medications for it, also I had been experiencing lower back pain and pain from my neck to my shoulders.
