Simon is a "perfectionist" & is as much a "paint psychologist" as he is an extraordinarily skilled craftsman. Simon & team are efficient, professional & so much more. Josh did mostly interior and some exterior painting on an old house. The work was tricky because…read moreit not only involved painting but addressing some bad plaster issues on the ceilings. On the exterior there was some nasty old alligatored paint on the porch that needed to be painted over and some window touchups. I was pleased to see that they were concerned about lead as we were. He had a HEPA vac and used drop clothes from getting any dust anywhere. We went away for a week and they worked hard throughout the whole time we were away. The ceilings were pretty hard to fix and he did a good job matching the existing texture that was there. He also offered to paint a small hall that we didn't originally include in the quote. All and all they were very professional, the quality was good, and the schedule was timely. I'd definitely recommend them to others.

The first time, a ceiling panel randomly fell down. (Not one they had worked on - we moved into a new house and a panel fell one night). They came out promptly and repaired. Then, another one fell down a couple weeks later, and again, Mario came right out, gave us a quote, and repaired! One of the pics is of the panel. Doesn't look like much because it's a white ceiling, but it's perfect! Then, we have this doorway/frame separating our living room and family room. We tore off the trim, my partner made an arch shape (to match the other doorways), and we asked Mario and his team to come drywall, plaster, and paint the whole entry way/sides/etc. They made it absolutely spectacular. It's just gorgeous and the rooms flow so beautifully now!!!!

Further the quote and price of the work was extremely reasonable and quality was still superb! In the front, they scraped and prepped the entryway, front door, and 2nd floor bay window as well as removing and patching the transom frame to open the space up--they then painted everything including the window trim across all three floors. In the rear of the home they scraped our wood siding and replaced any rotted wood with PVC, then repainted in a color drench. The team also removed a wood basement entry structure that was rotting in the back and replaced with a newly framed door. Lastly the team also removed old and installed new custom basement windows in the front granite of our home including new trim and waterproofing, as well as painting. The team also did small finishing touches at no extra charge including installing a new entry light and hanging window boxes. We are already planning future projects with Mario and his team!

When Monteiro came…read morefor the estimate, he looked at the paint chipping off our walls in the bedroom and bathroom, and said that patching and plastering had to be redone first before the room can be painted. He gave us a cost and time estimate for the job. While the cost of fixing the paint in both rooms was certainly more than we had expected, Monteiro guaranteed that the outcome would be worth every penny. We bit the bullet and went ahead with the job. Monteiro's wife, Rula, did a fantastic job scheduling the job and accommodating our busy schedule. In the end, both our downstairs guest bedroom and bathroom look beautiful - all the paint chips were gone, no uneven surfaces, everything had a clean and crisp look. We couldn't be happier with his work. This is why you should definitely consider hiring Monteiro for a paint job: - Free price estimates, - Good flexible scheduling - Arrives on time - Very conscientious and detail oriented about his work - Honest about what he can fix and what he cannot fix - Cleans up after himself - Minimal supervision required We are definitely planning to have Monteiro back for another paint job in the near future.
