They recently cut down an oak tree for us that was dead, probably 120 years old and only about six feet from our house. Five men worked two eight-hour days to get the tree down safely with no damage to the house. Frankly, it was a bit of a nightmare challenge but they took it slow and methodical and came up with a well-thought-out strategy utilizing the company's "over-center" aerial bucket that reached about 35 feet from the street to the tree. This was the last tree on our property so there were no other trees they could tie-off to that would facilitate the branches being lowered to the ground. Still the crew, with a climber some 50 feet up, brought the branches and eventually the trunk down safely. The company had other equipment available that they were not able to use because of the topography of the worksite. I used to sell truck-mounted equipment like the kind Giraffe has so I've dealt with tree-trimming companies pretty extensively in the past. But never have I seen such a company so well equipped to do the work so safely and efficiently. The owner, Dean Goodson, is hands-on and oversees every job they perform.
