This seemed steep so I requested Pro Drain come out for a second opinion. Chris from Pro Drain arrived and listened to my recap of the situation. He performed his own diagnostic tests and told me the source of the leak was actually from water getting outside the tub and getting through areas between the tile and the wall of the tub. All that was actually needed were splash guards and application of caulking. Chris saved us over $1,000, not to mention wall repair costs.
