I had an absolutely awful experience with Dan Ryan. I'm still shaking. I was driving behind him in his work truck in Parkville on 72nd Street when he merged into the center lane as though he was planning to turn left. However, he then abruptly turned right (in front of my vehicle) without a blinker and I had to slam on my brakes and I honked my horn. To my horror he proceeded to jump from his truck, run over to my window and start calling me a f*ckin b*tch multiple times!! I had my 3 boys in the car and I was completely stunned watching this man absolutely come unhinged in the middle of the road. I had never seen him before in my life, but upon looking up the company I discovered that it was the OWNER who I had been berated by! The more unprofessional person I've ever met! If they were the last company in Kansas City I WOULD NOT use Ryan Construction Systems. read more

I would highly recommend Daniel Ryan & his crew as they did an excellent job on my drive garage entrance of replacing the concrete ;it looks great . They also rerouted a downspout under my sidewalk out into a pop-up drain & also poured concrete there as well to rebuild my walkway.I'm very satisfied with their work . The crew was hard working & polite & it was hard work in very sultry hot weather & they completed all the work in less than 1/2 day !I would highly recommend them & hire them again ! Dan Ryan reroofed our house in Briarcliff. His team was quick and did a great job. We had a skylight that we decided to change out and the new one he recommended was a great upgrade. Beautiful from inside. After they finished the job, Dan had a tree his team was falling. He noticed we had a huge fireplace and ended up delivering a couple of cords for free. I did have one complaint though. I had to stack the wood. Ha! read more

They have always done a great job with everything from coordination with the insurance companies to cleaning up everything once the job was done. I've had the pleasure of knowing Dan for years. Dan Ryan and his crew did an excellent job. Dan Ryan (owner of the company) came out to look at the house with me and show me samples of shingles. To help me pick out the right color, Dan Ryan personally drove me around the neighborhood so that I could see how other colors of roofing materials look on different houses. The roofing crew arrived on time, early in the morning, and they completed the work in 1 day. My house is from the 1800s and has a lot of weird angles and seams, and they took care of everything just fine. Dan Ryan recommended a solar-powered roof ventilation system that his crew installed at the same time as the roof. With the receipt, I am expecting to receive a tax rebate to cover the cost for that. My house has vinyl siding, and parts of the siding above various roof levels needed replacing. Dan Ryan recommended a vinyl siding repair person who was very detail oriented and took care of that quickly and for a very good price. The crew cleaned up fairly well after the roof replacement. There was a huge pile of roofing material removed, and they took it all away on the same day. There were still quite a bit of small asphalt-type granules on the lawn and patio around the house after the crew left. When I mentioned this to the owner of the company, he came out and personally vacuumed that area with a dust-vac. In my experience, Ryan Construction System (RCS) went above and beyond with their customer service and quality of work. read more

I recently had my roof done by this company. we had a ridge vent and new soffit vents installed as well. the crew put the roof on fast ! however clean up was less that acceptable. they did not cover my garden and left at least 60 nails in part of my front yard and street alone that does not cover the nails in the garden, back yard or side yards ! The vents they inserted were not inserted properly they did not use air baffles AT ALL !! I was told they use their arm or a stick to make ventilation from the blown in insulation?!?!?!?! still waiting for a phone call for them to fix it !! please research your company ALL THE WAY ! read more

Not only are the disputing what needs to be completed... They have been paid...now they are slapping all kinds of fees on us! Welcome to my nightmare... I had Ryan do a small job for me and had some concerns about a couple of things (ended up being a miscommunication), so I sent an email to their office. They immediately gave me Dan's (owner) home phone number. I called him and he was at my house in 30 minutes to make sure I was happy. I don't know of a lot of companies that care this much about their customers. Anyway, they put a new roof on for me and the work was excellent, fast, and pricing was competitive. Roofing work was poor quality. Inspector found loose shingles and missing flashing several months after the work was completed. Some of the home improvement work was done by unqualified friends and family and it was necessary to hire another contractor to complete the work and correct deficiencies in their work. read more
