I've added my information to a Federal do-not-call list, yet their office, and other like theirs, still persisting in calling. It's an unsolicited telemarketing call (despite the fact that my number is on the federal do-not-call registry). The guy immediately launches into a sleazy spiel about "taking advantage of low interest rates." Please don't support these bottom-feeding telemarketers. A couple of months ago, one of Redwood Realty people called us about a refinance. I had been trying, over the past 6 months on and off, to do a re-fi at a much better rate with little success so we decided to give Redwood a try. Ali Hasnain Ali assured us it could happen, and although it took some time to subrogate our home equity line to the new mortgage, and wade through the new Fannie Mae regulations on leased solar panels and insurance, Ali took the lead and made it all happen for a good rate and excellent closing costs, keeping in almost daily contact once the rate was locked. I want to share my experience to everyone who is thinking of doing business with Redwood Realty and the broker Ali Hasnain Ali. Please do your homework. Exercise caution and perform due diligence on this company. Due to my busy schedule, I did not do my homework and as a result, aside from paying high mortgage broker fees that I agreed upon, I was also overcharged by 2K. My experience was an eye opening that left me thousands of dollars poorer and exploited. Before I signed the final contract, I pointed out to Ali Ali about the 2K extra charge and he informed me he'll do the adjustment. But there was no adjustment done. Honesty and good business practices are non-existent when they do business with borrowers. This is not the first time they deceived their clients. I called the CA Dept. of Real Estate at (877) 373-4542 and found out a long list of violations posted on their site. To prove my point, here is a link of long violations I found at the DRE website. If there were less than zero stars than this outfit deserves them. This is an absolute rip-off agency that will take your money and do next to nothing for it. In my case they refinanced my mortgage for a higher monthly payment. What a fool I was to believe their load of bull. And if you are not careful, you could find yourself in a situation where they sue you after they have defaulted on their promise to get you a valid refinanced or modified mortgage. You have heard about the fraud and low living forms of life in the post real estate bubble times and let me tell you I met them at Redwood Realty. Wishes Yelp had a zero or negative stars options. Because I've blocked multiple numbers from this company, they just use other extensions in their office. I can state with absolute certainty that I was registered with the donotcall each every time these slugs call me. They called again today with another number for me to block. I called Mr. Hasanian (again) and explained that his continued violation of the law will now be in the hands of the authorities. Calls on a busy day, even when my number was listed on the DNC list. Gave the person benefit of the doubt and asked for a competitive quote and was not able to provide any clear quote especially when he claimed he saw my property record and loans establish dates. So in addition to violating the DNC rules, this is where the caller must verify not the person who has already applied for DNC, this person also wasted time not being able to provide any quote in short he was phishing. read more

Relaxing after a hard day of work on a Monday and i get a telemarketing call from Redwood Realty even though I am on the do not call list.I answer the phone and hear all types of loud nonsensical chatter in the background while one of their slimy sales reps starts asking me about my personal business.I try to remain calm while this salesman is blabbing about how they're with the FHA and how they can lower my interest rate.All the while I'm hearing some sort of bizarre party in the background.I dont know who these people are and how they got my number but i cant imagine who would actually do business with them.Its amazing to me that companies like this actually exist.Stay away from this one.SHADY AND UNPROFESSIONAL read more

Thinking the process was going to be a pain-staking process, to my delight, it was far from that. My wife and I were given a time frame from start to finish of 6 months. We were able to complete the process within 3 1/2 to 4 months. The difference of our monthly mortgage savings was considerable.
