Gary and Joe have horrible people skills. I am beside myself with the lack of professionalism with them accusing me of not trusting them and raising their voice and even hanging up on me. They demanded that I come pick up my RV Now and hung up after finding out that I had posted it for sale on Craigslist after getting the terrible news that because of a leak, the RV is only worth $5,000 and the damage is $7,000. If anyone has to tell you how honest they are, be cautious. I have my Dad's best interest, so if it takes getting a few quotes, that's what I'll do. They told me one price for diagnostic of my RV Ac unit of $37.50, when I picked up my RV they then wanted an addition $37.50 ($75.00). I can only assume since I wanted my MH back and not pay their crazy high estimate Of $2000 for a replacement AC, that any RV tech or company would only charge $1200.00 parts and labor. This is my second dealings with this company, first time when I purchased my RV they charged ,e over $800 to just inspected it.. I should of learned the first time. Gary and Joe are rude and have horrible customer service skills. All they do is argue raise their voice, talk over and brow beat customers that bring up any disagreement or concern. We took our hard side pop up camper to Rvs R Us in Largo for a skylight leak after the dealer failed to fix it properly. We were in a time crunch because we were scheduled to go on a trip, plus we were on a budget. We wanted the skylight, which was cracked, replaced with something more durable. Craig replaced the skylight in time for us to take our trip, did a beautiful and innovative job, making it more secure than the original skylight, and even sent us pictures of the work as it was progressing. One week later we safely rode out heavy rains in the outer bands of tropical storm Isaias in our camper with absolutely no leaks! We would highly recommend Rvs R Us. Rvs R US - RV Repair Near Me - LARGO, Florida

I started off really liking this shop, and originally had a great recommendation for them. As a new RVer, they took the time to explain stuff to me. After several visits, it seemed that they just went through the motions. They installed a DISH satellite and receiver for me, and it didn't work. It didn't work for about a month, despite my calling DISH every day. The cables weren't of the proper quality. After RVs R US installed the satellite, they handed me a controller for the satellite and told me that it was supposed to be hooked into the receiver. But when they hooked up the receiver, the controller wasn't attached. The guy who did the installation said he didn't know where it should go. After calling DISH Outdoors, I found out that it should be inline. So I got another coax, put it in line. RVs R US did not give me a power supply when they handed me the controller. I found one that fit, but it turned out not to be of sufficient voltage. I ended up doing a lot of this stuff because when I called up DISH it turned out it wasn't done right. Getting DISH to work took a long time, and no thanks to RVs R US to get this working properly. They charged me hundreds of collars during this whole process, and I still probably spent over 20 hours trying to figure out the various things that were wrong with DISH Outdoors. RVs R US told me they would help me because "I am such a good customer." Multiple visits, hundreds of dollars, I remind you. Before I figured out how bad they were, I bought a generator from them, which they installed. They said that Onan did not include a manual with the generator. The generator ran out of oil and stopped. It was under warranty, and instead of just fixing it, they claimed there was an error message and sent it back to Onan. Onan could not find a problem--it was just lack of oil. By making a big deal out of it, they were able to charge me BIG BUCKS. But I didnn't have a manual. When I asked how I was supposed to maintain the generator, Gary pulled out a manual that he said was not mine, but was for my exact generator. He Xeroxed a copy of that single page to show me how to check the oil. RVs R US charged me $800 for this warranty work on the generator. They stole my f****king manual and then showed it to me. They never told me what kind of oil I need to put in the generator, but as seen below, that's ok, because I CAN'T USE THE GENERATOR. The generator needed exhaust. They installed an exhaust pipe that went out the back of my RV. The first time I went over a bump, it was damaged. They installed it again exactly the same way, again charging me. The first time I went over a bump, that very day, it was damaged. I took it in again. They charged me again for a new exhaust. They said they routed it differently, but they didn't. Same day, the exhaust was again damaged. I took it into Rainbow muffler, and they asked if they could put a small hole in the cage. I said yes. The installed a muffler on it, and it was very quiet. RVs R US saw the muffler and said it would void the warranty. They allowed the exhaust, with muffler, to drag along the ground behind my RV because they did not secure it well. When we got the generator back from Onan, they installed the exhaust again. I have paid about $1250 now to exhaust my generator. Most of those times were because RVs R US couldn't figure out that they should cut a small hole in the cage so that they could exhaust the generator in a better manner. A few days later, today, I am on an RV trip. I wanted to stop at Walmart and pick up some groceries and I had the dogs in the RV. So I went to turn on the generator. It is in place, but it is not hooked up to the starter. It's not even trying to start. Great warranty work guys. I will never return there again. This is ridiculous. Update: It turns out that they didn't tell me that my generator swtich was incompatible with the new generator. Their solution? Cut the wiring harness of the generator and hardwire it in. But when they took the generator out again, they could not re-hardwire it. Another repair shop explained the situation to me, and I ended up taking the generator to Cummins in Tampa to have it repaired. This repair cost $1500. So they charged me $5k for a $2.5K generator, and then damaged it so the total generator cost to me was $6.5K. Do not go there. Cannot emphasize this enough. I have never been taken advantage of as badly as they took advantage of me. Really bad, folks. read more

The issue seemed to have resolved itself and was working and so no repairs were needed. They could have charged me to look at it but instead they shook my hand and sent me on my way at no charge. Dealt with them for a few years and seemed nice and helpful , when i consigned my rv for sale in march they were friendly and seemed nice again , when it came time to sell it was different , they called and said they had a buyer , didn't want me talking to the buyer. In the end they tried to short me on my money by 150 dollars saying they had to clean the camper, offered to show me the refrigerator was dirty , it had something in it . If they cleaned it how could they show me the dirt ? Joe got very rude , yelling at my wife that she was lying ! I don't even know if they got what they told me ! Gary and the entire staff was great. We had a water issue with a pump, they fit us in to their schedule. While there they recommended a terrific diner, Seminoles Greek. It was close and very good. The work at the RV place was great. They could have told us we needed a new pump, but actually bypassed the freshwater pump, told us how to replace the pump. Did not charge us for any parts only 1 hour labor, even though it took more time than a hour. Highly recommend this service. read more

Unethical, unprofessional and rudely inconsiderate. I arrived there on Monday at 12 noon, and explained that I would need my water heater replaced by Wednesday because it is a rental, and I had guests at 4 p.m. that day. I also explained that if they could not get it done by Wednesday, that I would have to take it somewhere else to replace my water heater. I was told by the manager that they could get it done, then proceeded to ask me for the keys and my info to write the paperwork. The next day I called at 8 a.m. and he told me that it would not be done by Wednesday as agreed, and that it was my problem that I needed it done by then (even though he remember me telling him this deadline when I dropped it off). Also that I needed to pay $55 before picking it up. This ended up costing me more money because of lost rent revenue, and then when I spoke to other local shops, they said that I am not the first person to report this attitude towards customers. Unethical, unprofessional and rudely inconsiderate, and I left there feeling extorted. I am going to dispute the 55 charge on my card too because of their dishonest business practice The bank is aware. Businesses should not treat customers in this manner! BEWARE! read more
