I am 72 years old and have experienced all kinds of service providers over the years from boats, collector cars, real estate, rv's etc. These guys are the BEST! I gave them a list of over a dozen items since I am meticulous and in 2-3 cases I could not find anyone who could fix them on my East Coast travels. RV Service of Virginia did it all. RV Service is now my one stop shop and makes the owning an RV what it is supposed to be, and not a hassle. Finally, we are always on the alert for price gouging. They tell me on Tuesday of the week I was supposed to leave and said "I just don't think I can do it". This is 4 weeks after he said it would be no problem! Well I came across RV Service and told them what happened and the jumped on it. They did an incredible job. Keep me update all through the repair and it was ready! Unlike other local shops, Mid-Atlantic makes tiedowns and spare tires woven into their posted pricing so there's really no add-on fees or anything. They run efficiently but they're very friendly and personal... It doesn't give you the "big business" vibe. This is how it should be! Took my travel trailer in to repair LP quick connect I damaged. Dropped off April 7th with needed…read moredate of May 28th (trip). Work was not completed and they would not even cap the open LP line. Picked it up and was able to fix it myself. Two months and they could not complete a job that took me 3 hours once I understood what needed to happen. I would not recommend McGeorges for service on anything other than the campers they sell. My wife and I purchased a 2022 Thor Vegas September 26, 2026 after visiting the dealership two weeks prior. Our scheduled pick up time was 9 am we came up the night before because we live 200 miles away. As we were doing our walk around the young lady told me that I could start the unit up. Immediately the check engine light comes on at this point I am highly upset due to the fact they had two weeks to go through the unit and find issues. I told our salesman that I did not want to do the deal and to give my wife our deposit back. My issue was the lack of attention to detail the unit was on consignment so my question was why did they not go through the unit and fix any issues? In my opinion if you take in a unit on trade or consignment one would ensure there are no issues before selling it. I went to the car my wife calls and says they ran the code and it was from the gas cap not being on correctly. So we complete the deal and bring the unit home. We have not taken the unit out but move it when mowing. Fast forward to this past Wednesday my wife moves the unit while I was mowing and the check engine light is on. Our neighbor runs the code and not only is it the same code as day of purchase it has a cylinder misfire code. I took the unit to a mechanic that is not associated with Camping World because at this point I cannot trust anyone that works there. I was told that the evaporation leak code did not mean a loose gas cap but is associated with the cylinder misfire code. So at this point one can only assume we were lied to in order to complete the purchase. After researching the Thor website there is a maintenance bulletin regarding the cylinder misfire is due to the spark plug wires. So if you're selling a unit why are you not ensuring any and all issues are resolved. After inspecting the engine there is antifreeze in the engine valley from front to back. So there is no telling what issues we will be dealing with and the whole you can take it to any Camping World is complete BS. We contacted Camping World in Roanoke and they told us they would not play middle man and to contact McGeorge. The Roanoke dealership is 30 miles from my residence vice the 200 to McGeorge. I have a feeling this ordeal is going to become a complete nightmare. This dealership is only interested in sales and not customer service. I wholeheartedly believe we were bamboozled and now I cannot get a call back. After reading all the negative reviews it seems Camping World is not holding anyone accountable at McGeorge RV. There is even a review on here from this month stating they found issues with their unit the day of pick up so obviously there is a lack of honesty and integrity. I highly recommend that you do not spend your hard earned money with them.

New staff is Rude, hung up the phone on me when I told them they were being condecending. Told me they could not find my credit, until I told them who I was. Then said, it was no good because its been over a year. Before that, they said, no good because of new management. Which is it? You can't find it, expired because of time or new management. Clearly you don't want my business. Well in the past, I have highly recommend this place to the thousands of members on my camping page. Now, with the new management, comes new reviews. I do NOT recommend this campground. There are several other choices that will receive and welcome you in.
