In general, Aldi has the best grocery prices in the area!…read more For starters, Aldi is a much different place than it once was. Whereas it used to only carry very general staple items, they now carry some very interesting and well-priced specialty items. They still have the staples, and they're generally cheaper than stores such as Walmart and Sav-a-Lot. Their specialty items are very well priced too. Their produce is generally pretty fresh, which isn't something I can say about Walmart. Their prices of berries, which are generally pretty expensive at other grocers, are unbelievably low. Aldi employees are simply amazing at checking people out. They're extremely fast and can cut down a line in no time! I've never had a bad experience with an Aldi employee. I also like the smaller store format compared to the newer build Aldi locations. Unfortunately, this Aldi will be moving to a newly built store across from BJ's on Gateway Ave., so we won't have the smaller store for much longer. When it comes to competitive grocery prices, it's difficult to beat Aldi.

I made a note of what I needed before leaving town and started my road trip home. I ended up taking the long way around to get home in order to come here, but if I had not done that, I probably would not have gotten to one of these until I headed home after the weekend. Pennsylvania does not have many of these, mostly around higher populated communities. So no where near where I was going to be. Made my route here and parked. Ran inside with my list of items. Mostly nonessential items that I wouldn't have to worry about going bad. I was going to get the grocery portion on my way back home, but these home items were definitely needed. I definitely advocate on using the app to scan as you shop here. It allows you to clip coupons as you shop and even pay so you can bypass the registers to head to your vehicle. I have opted for this on so many occasions now. I grabbed everything I definitely had on my list. Then I grabbed things that definitely not on my list.
