I took our minivan to this car wash because it needed some elbow grease and love to bring her back to her glory. I was the only car on this afternoon when I pulled in so went for the full detail. I requested the VIP package which I felt was worth every penny! Pedro and his team really jumped in and addressed every nook and cranny! They washed the mats, vacuumed, dried the outside, wiped down the interior and windows and gave it some extra attention inside to! Pedro was even able to take care of some tree sap on the hood that we just couldn't get off. And the best part was they did it all in less than hour while continuing to address the 4-5 cars that came right after I did. I paid for a detailing of my car and feel i was ripped off for the service i received I dont know who is doing this horrible job I paid 150.00 for nor even half job I should have read the reviews before going there the person in the register sold me a dream of leaving my car like new I had to point out a lot of stuff they never even touched they should not be doing detailing there if they dont clean right on top of that the guy was pissed off because i was pointing out everything they left out ,I had left a leaf in the comportment on purpose to see if they even clean it out and it was still there they did not even open it the rug was still dirty and the pannel as you can see was not even wiped out the front is full of leaves that they did not even take out ,with tis poor reviews they have hear they are ruining there reputation this will be the first review that i am doing will be posting it in other places and the BBB they need to know they need to take care of this...is this worth 150.00 read more

I recently returned to Rutherford, New Jersey, after 20 years in Florida, where car washes were a whole different experience. I went to Rutherford Car Wash and was shocked at how quick and minimal the process was. The machine wash lasted about 30 seconds, easily the shortest I've ever seen. I even mentioned my surprise to the owner, Glenn. I opted for the $28 package, expecting a real upgrade from the basic wash. Instead, it felt like I got the $8 basic package with nothing extra. The interior cleaning was a complete letdown--no spray was used on the dashboard or side door panels, dust was still everywhere, and the windows were barely touched. Glenn did try to make it right by having them redo it, but even after that, I was still scratching dirt off the doors and panels with my fingers--something that should have come off easily with proper cleaning. Honestly, I feel like I should go back, ask for some spray and a roll of paper towels, and show them how it's done. For $28, I expected a much better job. Would not recommend. read more

The staff that hand "dried" my car did a horrible job. I had to go over the area between my trunk and frunk of my Tesla. I also left the storage compartment open and empty for a quick vacuum that did not happen. My car also did not get 100 percent clean. I needed to rub off some spots myself. read more

I took my '14 Jeep here for detailing 3 1/2 hours and $189 dollars later my ride looked brand spankin' new! Most of the exterior scruffs and scratches were gone. The interior was showroom new. Everything was shiny, polished and vacuumed. Even inside the spare tire compartment was spotless. Money well spent, wouldn't hesitate to go back. The people at the car wash did a poor job with the interior. Please be careful with the workers here. They do a shoddy job cleaning the interior and spray cleaning solution directly on the electronic console touchscreen instead of spraying solution on a rag and then wiping down the components. My touchscreen was inoperative after they cleaned it. My wife went into complained and they started screaming by at her. Fortunately the touchscreen unit dries out and started working again. I asked for something specific when I came in and he said get the most expensive option and talk to the guy after I go threw the wash and when I finished it I asked them to clean behind me seats like the guy told me they would and the other guy said oh that guy doesn't speak English he doesn't know what he's talking about that's all he could say number 1 they didn't do what he said I payed a shit ton of money and number 2 my car didn't get cleaned at all they took like 3/4 min didn't clean my trunk and didn't clean the outside of my car there was soap on the outside of my car and when I started driving everything stuck on the soap and my car was more dirty then when I got there and I payed so much and I kept asking the guy to look at it bc it wasn't clean and he kept saying idk come back later like I was busy that day I couldn't come back why u scam me rutherford car wash place I came back after the first time u didn't do good bc I had some trust in u but like god damn that shi was so bad. read more

I found a wonderful company JMS mobile detailing, that fixed all the damage or most of it that Rutherford Car wash did to my car. My husband is a local mechanic and now has thrown their cards away and does NOT refer any of his many customers to this business. They came to my house and did what we paid 300 dollars to them, for a shitty car wash. It cost me much more money to have the damage fixed though they could not get the damage that was done to my luggage rack fixed. I will take it to my husbands auto body guys to repair. Reading these reviews I wonder if they are really real. I sincerely doubt it... anyone can write a review. Rude even when I called him after the fact, still refused to acknowledge and insulted me to boot. They get 0 stars if I could. I arrived and went into the office...one of the employees was sitting on a couch, with headphones in. I asked him if there was a menu of the different services and he said "No"...then thought about it and said, "Yes, around back." So I shlepped (ha!) around back to see a menu that really should've been posted in the office where the transactions take place. I chose a package, met a friendly employee (pointing out that this guy was friendly because the rest of them regarded me with either disdain, confusion, or total ambivalence) who instructed me to go through the wash. Good car wash! Then the guys at the other end straight up stared at me instead of directing me where to go. Eventually they directed me about halfway to the spot they wanted me to go, stared at me more and then directed me the rest of the way to this weird spot that blocked off an entrance into the car wash lot. Prior to this, I'd told a couple of different people - "Let me know when you make it to the trunk -- I've got some stuff in there that I'll move so you can vacuum. I see a guy open the trunk, vacuum a small spot that's not occupied by my stuff and then close it so I walk over and I'm like "No it's okay you can vacuum the whole thing, see I'll move the stuff." The four guys were done in about four minutes. They all walked away from the car without saying a word to me. So I asked the guy from the office with the headphones if they were done and he looked at me like I was crazy and said yes they were, which is funny because they left my front passenger-side door open. Nice. I left feeling like I got less than I paid for (it was the Bronze package, about $15 -- weren't they supposed to do more than just vacuum and wipe things down? even the wipe down was sub par with plenty of dust all around the dash area under the windshield), wondering why I'd even bothered to leave a few bucks in the tip jar for the guys, because they seemed to put in the minimal effort in everything they did. read more

I've waited about 2 weeks to see how the detail would hold up and it was just as I had expected from the initial application. First I will discuss the pros then the cons of my detail. Pros: Cheap, I mean dirt cheap $120 for interior and exterior detail. But as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Cons: Slopping work, the work was done by someone who can't possibly have long term experience in detailing vehicles as the "detail" part of the job wasn't really taken into consideration. My car is white and that being said the majority of the moldings on the vehicle are black. There was little to no attempt made to keep the polish away for the moldings in fact on the rear bumper the polish was purposely rubbed into to make the moldings appear white. When I arrived to pick up the car I was advised that it would take up to 2 for the floor to dry at the time I found it strange but thought it was just part of the process. The next morning when I opened up the car it smelled off, when I proceeded to check the floor in the backseat it was soaked. I had to use a few towels to dry up the left over water left from the machine they used to clean the carpets. Spend your money somewhere and get a detail from a car wash that has been in business longer and actually knows what their doing. read more

This is what happens when they are a little busy. All customers should be given satisfaction. I hate writing negative reviews, but I feel like my money was taken from me and nobody should have to deal with that. I chose the "silver" service which should have included a vacuum (including the trunk), tire wash, dashboard cleanup, etc. My car looked as it did when i brought it when they were "done". I stood and waited for them to finish my car. It was busy and I was understanding (and i still am), but they left my car in the corner as they completed numerous other cars that came in after. I didnt say a word. They finally got to my car and i was happy to be close to done. They vacuumed and I had to remind them to do my tires. My entire car was just as dirty as when I got it there. The floors weren't very dirty to begin with, but it was still very obvious they werent vacuumed. My dashboard was not wiped down. The console was dirty. I have no idea what they did in there with the vacuum, but it doesn't seem like much. I went back after getting into my car and was offered a free cleaning service. I wanted my car cleaned that day and I certainly don't want to waste my time going BACK to this same place. My advice - get it together. Although overall you're getting a good deal for a wash and detail (I got the championship package), I was not really pleased with the service. The inside looked nice for the most part, not thoroughly vacuumed, but a nice shine on the leather. The outside was not satisfactory and the team definitely put a scratch on my car that I noticed after I got home. Did not bother calling because they are going to deny it. Another ripoff waste of money "car wash/detail" place. So it's the end of a 12 hour overnight Uber shift and I am toast. So I decide that instead of schlepping to my usual drive-thru vacuum-yourself place I would splurge to have somebody else do the vacuum-wipe down-windows routine so I can be ready to roll when I wake back up. HA! I gave them the second star because they actually do a decent pre-wash before sending you through the machine. So the $7($8.50 for mini-vans) for the exterior wash is about what this place is worth. Because most of what comes after you exit the tunnel is crap. I admittedly have a lot of stuff in my van, but I told the guy before I ever got out- "could you do the cargo area first and I'll shift everything back so you can vacuum well." He sends one guy back to do it but the rest of the guys still pile in and start throwing shit around and knocking down my decorations. -None of the seats were vacuumed- nor were the fold down seats returned to their proper position. -They did not get between the front seats and console. -Most of the rest of the floor and mats were not even done as well as I do with the whisk broom on 'lite days'. -Cargo area was vacuumed ok, but no wipe down was even attempted on the either inside or outside. And every airport passenger I have gets a well-lit look at that area. -Running boards were not wiped down -There was a long, white smudge nearly the full length of the passenger side that I had to spray and buff off. -And I had to rewash the front window because it was smudgy and had water marks running down. Am I picky? Hell yes! This is my 'office' and I take pride in it. If I am forking over $18 and change for less than 10 minutes work, I expect the items specifically promised on the sign board to actually be DONE read more

First time here as I saw this location during a routine dentist visit nearby. Decided to pay them a visit today and must say I was quite impressed! This is an automatic car wash but does not seem to be at all. There are various options from a basic wash to an everything wash. The folks who were working were very patient and not in a rush at all with each customer which was great! After the wash they vacuum (if you opt for full service wash) and dry the car. Was very impressed that they actually vacuumed the rear of my jeep! In 12 months of owning my car no car wash has ever vacuumed there! Went to Rutherford car wash for a complete detail. I was told a complete detail would take 4-5 hours which seemed long, but I thought it might indicate a through job. After dropping the car I got a call 5 hours later to come and pick it up. When I arrived, the car looked OK, but upon a closer look I saw a part of my car's emblem was missing. I alerted the manager who called the owner. They both proceeded to argue with me that: 1. It was missing when I brought the car in. 2. It's a flimsy part and breaks off easily. 3. If we don't know where the part is, it didn't happen on our property And so on and so on....... After apparently exhausting the owner - he said he doesn't want to argue and would maybe get me the part that broke off. I was not offered any compensation for the damage and all the ensuing argument and bad experience not to mention having to repair a brand new car. A few other issues with the detail: 1. Despite keeping the car there for 6 hours, they were still working on it when I arrived. 2. The following day I saw round scuff marks on the hood (probably the result of a polish). The purpose of a detail of a car is to improve your car's look - not make it worse. Obviously, I didn't get that. I won't be back and would recommend to anyone who wants to improve his car's look to keep away. read more
