This was our favorite dairy restaurant in South Florida, now it's not. We were there for breakfast this morning and will not be going back again. The service was poor. How hard is it to bring a cup of coffee and how long should it take. I actually got up to get butter not wanting to wait for one of the staff to get it. When you order a toasted bagel, it should come with butter. The food which was always superb was sub-par at best. Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and may need some further training to handle customer inquiries and communicating with the kitchen a bit better... Regardless, the food was top notch and everything came out piping hot or cold as needed! Their artichoke dip is filled with generous bite size chunks of fresh artichoke hearts and nestled in beautiful luscious cheese! Their fish and chips (though we swapped out for the pear salad instead) was deliciously fried and had no trace of frozen fishynes. The truffle mushroom pizza could have used a bit more of truffle flavor but the pizza itself was beautifully charred. Their caprese salad was lightly dressed in a delicious balsamic dressing and my lunch partner said the salmon was seared as she liked it in her salad too. I'm not a fan eating milchig out but I would definitely come back here ! While visiting Miami Beach, I had driven by this spot several times and noticed it was always full (full for a restaurant during COVID). My husband and I took a very brief peek at the menu and decided to give it a try. One thing we didn't look for on the menu... meat. We didn't realize Rustiko is a pescatarian restaurant, and centralized among restaurants with Kosher listed on all menus. Not a negative - just something to note. We ordered the Goat Cheese Bites (phenomenal), Salmon on Crosta (good flavor), and Pumpkin Ravioli (VERY sweet). Overall the food was good, service was great. Wine list was rather short, but I believe it had to do with Kosher requirements? I'm not knowledgeable in that area, so it's just a guess. This is a great spot for anyone okay with meat not being on the menu! I would definitely visit again. read more

The only issue I had with this place is I didn't come hungry enough. I just moved to Miami from Los Angeles and there is no comparison for a kosher dairy restaurant. This truly takes the cake. We ordered the spaghetti squash and it was super unique. Tomato sauce, cheese and pesto in a squash w stringy squash noodles. The artichoke dip was amazing and very cheesy. Truffle pizza w mushrooms was so savory and perfect ratio of cheese to sauce without drowning the pizza in truffle. Our table also ordered the cauliflower appetizers. It's a fried Cauliflower with sweet Asian chili sauce. It was so hard to just have one. Great for lunch and business lunches. Will definitely be back! read more

They did not write down our reservations however gave us a table. They serve wine and have a corking fee of 25.00 of course. Problem we brought vodka (with no cork, lol) and they "tried to charge the fee for that. I explain thats not correct and was a hassle to get them to remove it. They also had a 5.00 Surfside surchage. We always have dinner at the many Resturant's in Surfside and was never charged that fee. It is at least a very petty and may not be legal. Upon entering the restaurant we were transported to a rustic and woodsy atmosphere. A glass of Merlot was poured for my friend while I went with Chenin Blanc to pair with our cheese filled meal. We started our journey with the beat gnocchi. Their light fluffy texture in a white creamy cheese sauce was delicate and delicious. Continuing onward, we tried the smoked caprese pizza. Fresh tomatoes were cut on the pizza in addition to a sweet tangy sauce coupled with a hint of rosemary atop fresh Mozzarella, the flavor just bursts in your mouth. Some of the best pizza I've had to date. Finally, we ended our journey with the pappardelle truffle. Which was decadent, creamy and delicious. Although there was a good amount of Parmesan cheese it did not over power the flavor of the truffle and mushroom. The service was friendly and the place was busy (even though it was a Monday night). Do not go here with children! They welcomed us in, said there was no Kids Menu but they could easily make mac n cheese or plain buttered noodles. We said sure and asked for noodles for both kids. Noodles. Butter. Nothing else. We received the bill and they charged us $21 per child for Noodles and Butter. Shame on us for not asking but shame on them for letting us believe it was kid friendly. We objected to the $42 charge and they eventually brought it down to $15 each. It was Literally a bowl of noodles and NOTHING ELSE! That said, the bigger issue was that the next morning my Credit Card was compromised with fraudulent charges whcih had to have happened after using the card at this restaurant since I departed Miami that next morning on a business trip. This great italian restaurant is only a 20 minute cab ride from south beach Miami. The decor is stunning, a mix of chic, rustic, and home. Lots of options for dinner so everyone will have something they will love to try. We got tequenos, pappardelle mushrooms, pumpkin ravioli, and the smoked caprese pizza with added mushrooms. We thought the tequenos would be more like mozzarella sticks, but the breading was more like hard dough. The cheese was food but the bread around it was flavorless and hardened quickly. It also came with a mustard sauce which didnt taste good with it at all. The reason I took a star off is because we asked three different servers for a different sauce, and none of them spoke english well enough to understand and it was hard to communicate with them. The pappardelle was creamy and delicious, yet not heavy. The pumpkin ravioli must be tried! It is a explosion of unbelievable flavor of cinnamon and heaven. The pizza was my favorite.
