When I first came in I asked her for a guy tang inspired hair color and now even 4 months later I'm convinced you couldn't tell the difference between his and her work. I had already had two botched colorings when I found her. Not only did she fix my hair but she got it to be exactly what I was wanting all along. My hair has never looked or felt better! Ok, my hair is a sensitive subject. It's naturally curly and I prefer to have it dry cut. I woke up…read moreon Sat and I knew it was time for a good cut. I called a few shops that said they took walk ins and they were all booked for the day at 9am. I called fancy cuts and Yen answered and invited me to come on over. Now it's in a shopping plaza and it's not a fancy place by any means. The last time I went to super cuts/famous Sam's or even the last high end places left me sad and upset. So as I walk in and see a barber cutting a kids hair and no one else in the shop I got a lil worried. Then came from the back and was not what I expected compared to boujee shops I've been to lately. I asked her if she could cut dry and she assured me she could. I showed her photos and she immediately said she understood the assignment. I was already in the chair and I just closed my eyes and began to pray. Can you imagine my surprise when I opened my eyes and the excess hair was gone, my hair had movement, and it was so stinking cute!!!! the best part is the haircut was 25 bucks!!!! They have a loyalty rewards program so you get a stamp everytime you go and then a free cut. I have found my diamond in the rough, yen is my new bff and I will continue to see her. The amount of compliments I have gotten in the last 24 hours is freaking crazy! Go see her for a haircut but not too often cause I'll need to get in every so often

After the eventual wash, he left me to style my own hair while he went and talked to another guest right beside me. While writing this review he looks at my phone and comments. This is crazy, and what I was left with was nothing even remotely close to what I had asked for in the picture. Which once again, another factor of him refusing to give a yes or no. The only thing we were clear on in the end is that the cut and style were sub-par, and that I did NOT want to pay.
