Been going here for years. Great and friendly staff. Never had a problem with cleanings or any dental work done. Greeted by the desk when you come in. Dr Russ is a great dentist and I enjoy going to him! It's in an old house that is in great shape. read more

Dr. Russell Marchese, Jr. is a general dentist serving your oral healthcare needs in the Batavia area. You may recognize the office, which has been in the same location for 27 years. The building is well-known to the community, and people often comment on its beauty. Dr. Marchese works in the same establishment in which his father's dental practice was located. Going into dentistry wasn't joining the family business - it was going into a field about which Dr. Marchese is truly passionate.

We decided to go with full dentures and I was anticipating a couple of rough months. I was very impressed with Bobs technique in injecting the Novocaine and extracting the teeth. There were some tough extractions but Bob,s chair side manner made the appointments as stress free as they could possibly be and as surprisingly painless as could be expected. The fitting of the dentures was also a bit of a chore but any time I had any discomfort Bob had me right in to address whatever issue I had. All in all the best dental experience I have ever had. I called to make the appt., told them our dentist was referring and for what. They got him right in with in days. I wasn't there, because I had to work... They took x ray after x ray, did an oral exam, charged him $200 of a $600 bill, which is well above my copay through BCBS (ILLEGAL), and then scheduled the appt for the oral surgeon, who ONLY COMES IN ONCE A MONTH. My husband asked a few times why all these X-rays were necessary, he already HAS A DENTIST that does all this stuff... they said they couldn't see him without establishing him as a patient. He wasn't there to be a dental patient.... He was there to consult with an oral surgeon, who never even showed up because he wasn't in the building! Needless to say, my husband wasted an hour there, was subjected to unnecessary radiation, overcharged for unnecessary treatment, knows nothing more than he did before he went, and won't be going back. I'll be calling my insurance and credit card company tomorrow. What a SCAM.

I had the same 2 tooth pulled 2 years ago on the other side of my mouth and it only cost $70.00 each. I was charged $800.00 for two teeth this time because they scheduled the wrong type of dentist. It took longer to numb the tooth than it did for him to pull it! And then they tried to talk their way out of it with medical mumbo-jumbo. So after 2 days and 3 people calling me, with excuses, I lose.

Long waits, just to get moved from the outermost waiting area to the inner waiting area and then finally to either the procedure or another wait in the tiny exam room. After which you're processed in reverse order getting through scheduling and payments, Plan on arriving early and being seen late. Multiple television screens set at angles that are impossible to watch comfortably and have the added bonuses of terrible programming and bring out of sync with each other so there is a disturbing 1 second delay at opposite ends of the waiting room which has created a fake but annoying echo effect. The chairs are super uncomfortable managing to be both poorly cushioned and badly proportioned ( low seats and arm rests with low backs, having them welded together is especially dumb - so your seat and you get to move along with the nearest stranger- the fake leather vinyl which is probably good- easy to wipe clean- if I were confident that they cleaned them regularly and I'm not.
