I contacted Mrs. Rynne to represent me in what was surely proving to be a contentious divorce as she was listed as service provider attorney through my employer's legal plan offering for contested divorces. However from the outset, I got the impression that she wished I would simply "Shut up and take your divorce like a man!" From the lack of any cogent plan of action, to the dismissive attitude, to the repeated threats to withdraw any time I raised my concerns, I struggle to find anything positive to say about my experience with her.

I was thrilled when he did agree to take my case 17 months ago until today. Which for now mine has come to a close for a while. I feel like the past few weeks, that I have seen the firm so many times that , they have made me feel like family here lately. Court can be an emotional roller coaster and I have always felt very comfortable contacting him with questions along the way and in showing my emotions; He consistently would put me at ease each time. Terrible. ZERO communication. Three phone calls to them and no return calls over three days. I…read moresearched online for a family law attorney that also did mediation for my wife's daughter, who is facing a separation/divorce. They fit the bill. I gave her the contact info and she called and was first told that representing her might be an issue because she was not in their county... she was in the adjoining one. Why this would/might be an issue I have no idea. However, someone was going to call her back and let her know. That didn't happen. Second day she called again and it was a repeat of the day before. Again... no return phone call. Today I called at 10am and spoke to someone and voiced (nicely) my concern over the promise of a return call the previous two days that never came. I also questioned what was the issue with my wife's daughter living one county over. She said she did not know and put me on hold. She came back a minute later and told me that Mr. Self was on a Zoom call and would call me back when it ended. She even mentioned that she said it was urgent. It is now 10 minutes until closing time. Nearly seven hours later and no response. for the third day in a row. I'm a big believer in the three strikes rule. If first impressions truly are everything, then this was a complete failure. We couldn't even find out if they would represent my wife's daughter, let alone set up a consultation. This was a simple yes or no question that Mr Self could have answered in a text. I wouldn't hire him to mediate ownership of a pack of gum. Lets hope the next family attorney I find actually believes all the wonderful things they write about themselves.
