The dentist still hasn't called me after I complained 3 days ago while I was at their office and…read morethey said they would have him call me!!! I just received my itemized bill and I was wrong they charged me 1754.00 not 1600.00 like I thought I think I might have to complain at the state level to get results they should be ashamed of themselves

I've been going to East Grove Family Dental for likely close to 15 years since i was a child…read more Everyone who i have dealt with who works here has always been kind and patient throughout the time i have gone here. I recently had a negative experience here that left me unwilling to come back and feeling almost purposely misled though it is quite possible this is not the original intention. I reached out as i had to have a tooth removed as it was pretty well shattered. I let them know upfront that i just started a new job and did not currently have any health insurance as i was not yet covered. I was told no worries just to come in and they would look at it. When i arrived i referenced the previous call and informed them that i did not have health insurance. i was there for under 10 minutes most of the time in the waiting room; while there the dentist briefly looked at my mouth seeing that the tooth was quite obviously shattered and then took a quick X-ray. I was handed the slip required to have it removed from a different practice at the front desk. When the conversation seemed to have ended i asked the woman at the desk if i owed them any thing, where as she responded with "Nope you're all set." I later received a bill from them weeks later. When i reached out to the office about the bill i had received i was responded to in a much more professional and polite manner; but of which can be summarized to: "well of course you have to pay, you came to a dentist office." I am well aware that as the consumer i am expected to pay for services when offered, however as it pertains to this experience i genuinely felt misled. Though i expected to pay when i first reached out to the company; at multiple points in our dealings it was reinforced that i was "all set" even when requesting information about what the cost would be. It is absolutely possible that this was simply a miscommunication however my requesting to pay my bill on the way out the door and being told i was "All set" cemented in my mind that this company valued me as a customer and they were looking out for me when i needed it. As previously stated with this not being the case it left me feeling quite the opposite. In this case i was the customer requesting information about what this transaction would cost making it clear i did not have insurance; and my concerns were brushed aside with full understanding that i would have to pay them despite the cost and was therefor not considered when it came down to what services to offer and was not informed of what this would cost me. It left me with the impression that the practice down the street that i have been coming to since i was a child was not concerned with the position i was in; and was equality impersonal enough to not inform me of what their services would cost me, even when openly asking to pay the bill while at the front desk. The ambiguous discussion of payment left me feeling mislead with the original impression that the company valued me; where as that same ambiguity left me unwilling to return to this company with the impression that they were not even concerned enough to answer my questions about billing even when standing directly in front of them.

My insurance and flexible spending situation was complex, however Dr Pham's staff solved all the problems. Everyone I have interacted with at this practice is terrific to deal with, polite and efficient. Dr Pham is no exception and inspires confidence. He works quickly and is attentive to signs of discomfort. Definitely recommend this practice!

It's refreshing to be cared for by a practice that isn't part of a corporate chain--this feels like a true family business, where every detail matters. Dr. Pham is exceptional. He identified root resorption during my exam, which turned out to be linked to severe dry mouth--a symptom of Sjögren's, an autoimmune condition I've been trying to get properly diagnosed. His attentiveness may have saved me months of uncertainty. Yesterday, Corey was my hygienist, and I can't say enough about her. She was incredibly knowledgeable and generous with resources to help me pursue diagnosis and treatment. That kind of support is rare, especially when it can take months to see a specialist. The quality of care here is outstanding. From the front desk to the clinical team, everyone treats you like a person, not a number. If you're looking for a dental practice that combines expertise with heart, Obery Dental is it.

It was just a slight crack. I got them back (the girls were amazing there. This is so sad!) the fit is totally off. I tell this new guy and he says too bad so sad. He said I was imagining they did not fit properly and he wasn't doing anything else for my teeth because they were done by the old practice! I even told him they would now be useless to me. He said to find Dr Kim and see her. THEY just screwed them up but see her? So, just so everyone is aware the old doctor is at Whitman family dental and is willing to see and care for their old patients. This guy bought the practice and plans to skate out of taking care of older patients issues. Sorry to knock a local business because I love the girls that work there! I'll honestly miss a few. But people need to know before they waste their time.
