I see Dr. Jon, but am also able to see Dr. PK if Dr. Jon is not in (which has been a total of 3 times in two years) They are both incredibly knowledgeable and make you feel that your concerns are valid. I feel so much better after I go in for my biweekly adjustment. An appointment includes physical therapy, trigger massage, and an adjustment. Dr. Jon and his crew work with your insurance to get you the lowest possible rate and will work with you if you are uninsured for an incredibly fair price. Dr. Jon has worked with me through insurance changes, deductibles, and even got me orthotics. He and his staff are also very flexible on payments, which is has saved me a lot of anxiety and headaches. Front desk staff is always very flexible with scheduling. In my two years here, I've never been denied an appointment, and haven't been penalized for missing one when I forget. I love coming here because I know they care in multiple aspects.

I was a client at this location from August 2018 - December 2018 (three days per week, decreased to…read moretwo days a week in December). My reason for getting physical therapy was due to a torn ACL in my left knee, suffered while playing basketball, for which i had surgery for days prior to my first session at this Carol Stream location. I choose this location simply because it was closest to my home. Within weeks, i was able to walk without comfort and by the end of time with them, i was able to run and perform athletically without any discomfort. From the first day i walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable and took care of me as they eased me into the various exercises and workouts. I worked with both PT's, Mark K. and Carolyn M. They both were great and each had their own different methods of training which was refreshing to experience. I truly felt like i was working with experts in their field. On top of that, they never forced me to do anything that i didn't feel comfortable doing - while at the same time, they tried to balance the exercises in a way that would challenge me and help be strengthen my legs. We set goals together from the start and the goal was to be able to run without any discomfort by the end of my training in December and throughout my five months of training, we set mini milestones to achieve. I use the term "we" when i refer to myself and Mark and Carolyn because it truly was a team effort. They set up the daily exercise and stretching routines for me to accomplish and as i did them, i gradually got stronger and healed quicker. Mark and Carolyn's knowledge of the various exercises was vast. No routine every became cumbersome and they kept introducing new exercises to keep things fresh. From a paperwork perspective, i only had to fill out paperwork on my first day and the insurance company and their front desk handled everything else from then on out. Speaking of the front desk, if i ever had to change an appointment or call with questions, they were always available, flexible and very accommodating. I never had trouble getting through or was ever put on hold. The training assistants (Vince and John) that i worked with there were all very friendly and helpful with during each of my sessions if i had to work with them. This is a sign of the good leadership and work ethic instilled by the PT's Mark and Carolyn. The facility was clean. The temperature was never too hot or cold while i was there performing the exercises. My only suggestion for improvement (if their budget permits) would be to install an automated/sensor door that would slide open for you (kind of like what you would see at a super market). I think this would make it easier for clients with crutches or walkers and for those that would have difficulty opening doors on their own. Overall, i can't recommend Athletico of Carol Steam enough. If you want to get your body feeling better/stronger in the quickest amount time, i believe Mark and Carol can help you achieve that. I experienced it first hand and it was a 5-star experience for me.

I think my therapeutic spinal massage added years to my life. I need this in my life once a month!…read more This place does chiropractic work, but I received the gift of a massage! The business is in a strip mall, unassuming and doesn't pander to luxury. But my massage was in a quiet, well equipped room, dimly lit, and exceedingly comfortable. Therapeutic massage can touch deep along the spine and wake up nerves and muscles that don't want to unkink! It can hurt but in a masochistic, it'll make you better kind of way. Originally, I came here after a motorcycle accident that resulted in a completely torn PCL. This made me unable to live not only the extremely active lifestyle I was used to (lifting, krav maga, and rock climbing), but to even walk without pain. Halfway through treating my knee, I was rear-ended by a drunk driver, resulting in whiplash that has taken almost an year to treat. Through it all, the Activa team helped me navigate my treatments and were there for me as emotional support as well. I never doubted my full recovery despite its length--Samir and his team ensured I followed up with an orthopedic doctor if I was extra anxious about something. I am extremely thankful that I chose Actinva as my PT clinic and always enjoying coming even if I talked trash to the team's face. Thanks for everything guys!!

When we started at Rush Pediatric Therapy, our 4-year-old son was non-verbal and severely delayed,…read morestruggling to achieve milestone that most of an 18-month-old level per CDC milestones. After his initial assessment, the team agreed he needed 30+ hours of weekly ABA therapy to support his development. Unfortunately, Rush consistently failed to deliver. Despite the agreed-upon plan, our son never received more than 17 hours per week, even during summer sessions it was decreased even further down to just 13 hours. Early intervention is critical for autistic children to build essential skills in communication, cognition, and social development, as emphasized by every autism support group we've joined. Rush's inability to provide the recommended therapy hours has hindered our son's progress. Worse, Rush made recommendations that seemed contrary to his best interests, such as reducing his weekly hours after he missed a few days over a couple of weeks or allowing their therapist make medical diagnosis when they have no training to diagnose medical conditions. This lack of commitment and follow-through has been deeply disappointing. We expected a center dedicated to supporting autistic children to prioritize their needs, but Rush fall far short of that standard.

Edit: At the very least, my number was correctly written down and I know that from an appointment confirmation text I received, but the short experience I recieved was very worrying, and while I don't know the desk clerk's side of the story, I feel it is company negligence to have hired a desk clerk who can't write/type a client's name correctly while having it spelled out for them several times.
