When we started at Rush Pediatric Therapy, our 4-year-old son was non-verbal and severely delayed,…read morestruggling to achieve milestone that most of an 18-month-old level per CDC milestones. After his initial assessment, the team agreed he needed 30+ hours of weekly ABA therapy to support his development. Unfortunately, Rush consistently failed to deliver. Despite the agreed-upon plan, our son never received more than 17 hours per week, even during summer sessions it was decreased even further down to just 13 hours. Early intervention is critical for autistic children to build essential skills in communication, cognition, and social development, as emphasized by every autism support group we've joined. Rush's inability to provide the recommended therapy hours has hindered our son's progress. Worse, Rush made recommendations that seemed contrary to his best interests, such as reducing his weekly hours after he missed a few days over a couple of weeks or allowing their therapist make medical diagnosis when they have no training to diagnose medical conditions. This lack of commitment and follow-through has been deeply disappointing. We expected a center dedicated to supporting autistic children to prioritize their needs, but Rush fall far short of that standard.

One particular machine that I thought was really interesting was their Alter-G treadmill which made running feel like I was on the moon. It helped making me feel lighter so I could start my running motions really early after surgery and I felt the machine helped immensely in my recovery. In addition to being attentive to my physical therapy needs, they helped me on a personal level as well. Being new to the area, the staff was really friendly and helped me find different places around the area to eat and and do other things. Shoot I forgot his name) got my dad all set up on the device and Joe stayed with my dad for the duration of the trial, offering him support, observing his movements, and answering my dad's many questions. My dad LOVED the experience. He was able to walk PAIN-FREE without worrying about losing his balance, for a full 20 minutes. He was thrilled. Having gone to him for a 3rd opinion at the time, I've seen other Orthopedic Surgeons & Ortho Docs at NM, Rush (downtown) & IBJI - this Dr is the only one to have a visual graphic to show what he believes my issues are and how each would need to be treated to help repair these problems in my cervical, spine & shoulder. Impressive! The location & parking is easy. Staff are efficient & cordial. It took 6 weeks to get an appointment. I give Dr Yasin 6 stars, but Rush Midwest Orthopedics gets only 4 stars because they charged me $6.50 for a copy of his physician visit notes and they take 14days to get them to you via email. No other facility charges for such, not even Rush downtown - cheap, cheap cheap!!!

My husband has been seeing a chiro on/off for the past 2-3 years but I decided that we need to see a new one. I found Dr. Buchar and his practice, we started with a conversation and mini-presentation of how they can help, what we can do to prevent our symptoms from getting worse and daily activities that can we do to ensure the continuity of improvement. Our first meeting was discussing the pains that I have and they did an x-ray, I also mention that almost on a daily basis I will be taking pain meds for my headache. After a couple of months, I started to noticed the improvements. The first one to go was the headaches, I don't take advil anymore at night for the pain. Sleep was getting better and then the shoulder pain went away. There are exercises that Dr. Buchar and his team made sure that I do at his office aside from the adjustments. My husband has changed chiro now, he also started seeing Dr. Buchar since April and my toddler who is 5 years is also getting adjusted.
