The details in each room are amazing. I screamed when the floor opened underneath us. We ended up in the dungeon up to our waists in murky polluted water. From there, two more rooms. Each room was challenging and it took team work to resolve. I have to add that the people have been amazing on both of my visits. Today we bumped into one of the owners who took time to spend with us, tell us about the path to 'today' and where his team is headed developmentally. Unfortunately the actor in the room spent the whole hour being a complete jerk. He insulted us many times was making fun of us called us stupid twice in other wording and mocked us as we were leaving the room. It was such a bad experience I've never gone back. The Wellington location is so much better and I've always had an amazing time there. It's only q0 minute away feom the downtown location. Even the one in Batrhaven on adult nights is a lot of fun. We've never had another bad experience at any other location.

Picture this- a group of about 25, 18 to 19 year old students, many of whom have never celebrated Halloween before our visit. Tickets range from $15 to $25, the latter being the standard, $20 being the group rate, and the low rate of $15 coming as part of a one day flash sale they had pre-haunting season. With your ticket, you get a one-time admission to each of their 4 fright sites which include: The Spooky Wagon Ride, House of Terror, Spooky Village, and Fog Maze. They are open from 7 until 10 pm. Before arriving, I wasn't sure if it was enough time, but if you plan accordingly and hit the wagon ride (which has the longest wait line) first and then check out the rest of the attractions, you're pretty well set. Admittedly, I only personally experienced the Spooky Wagon Ride and the Spooky Village. I don't do well with things that go bump in the night, and chickened out of the other two sites. The Spooky Wagon Ride is pretty neat, it's interactive and definitely has its freaky moments. I personally found that the Spooky Village is a bit more on the goofy side than scary side- a break I was happy to encounter. There certainly are some jump factors there, but nothing overwhelming and it was a lot less nerve rattling. It's a bit of a drive to get there, but in my opinion, for the season, it's worth it. Alot of the great Halloween attractions seem to be just on the outskirts, but it makes sense since it's at an orchard. There is food available for purchase, but keep in mind if you are looking for some freshly made fries, the canteen only accepts cash. Oh! And this is a big one for some people- the only bathrooms I found were porta-potties, but they were spacious and clean. I would definitely recommend this as a family fun activity or a night out with friends!

Yearly tradition to do an escape room on my birthday and this year, I needed a room that was…read moreoffered in english, challenging, and able to fit 9 people. Escaparium had all of that! We picked the game The wizard four and the book of black arts which is for 4-10 players and they recommend at least 8 people to do this room. Everyone gets a wand to start that is used to activate various different parts and items in the room. The game master is also part of the story and if you need any help or guidance you can do so by calling out the name of the character. I love that they integrate it into the game, all other escape rooms I've done you just get a walkie talkie. It was a great experience and moderately challenging. I recommend! *Slight spoilers ahead* I also loved that they had an actor be a part of the experience, it added a layer of theatricality that I haven't seen in other escape rooms. Usually the person who lets you in the room is dressed up or is part of the explanation of the room but rarely have I seen them be in the room later on as part of the story. The only criticisms I have about the rooms is that when we solved a puzzle or unlocked an area, it wasn't obvious where the change happened so we needed to be reminded to look around because we had accomplished something and there was a clue to pick up but there was no announcement so we never knew if it had worked or not. There was also a puzzle that was completely in the dark so it was necessary for me to use my phone which usually is a big no for escape rooms but it was truly too dark to see. We wasted maybe 10 minutes trying to find this last clue so I believe we could've solved the room a lot faster had we known. There is no timer in the room but you can always ask the game master to let you know how much time is left. We solved it with 8 minutes to spare!
