As a campground: I have seen much nicer grounds. I am camping with a tent and I am use to having either a nice view of a lake/river/forest or at least a privet site surrounded by trees so I feel I have privacy. This is not the case here, or lots are small, one next to the other and very exposed. We choose the river view and found ourselves with a nice view BUT between us and the river there was a parking lot and cars up to 10-11 pm still arrived to drag the boats out of the river making noise and destroying the entire fun camping feeling. The washrooms was only one row above us but we had to do a big detour since there is no way to cut via the other trailer plots. Overall a bad camping experience. As an Hiking site: Cool trails inside the swamp. There is a beautiful 1.5 Km small hike outside the park (no need to pay) the trails inside the campgrounds are not well maintained, and the marking is not that amazing. They are not long and you wont get lost completly but you will or might lose your way here and there.

This is a conservation area that has several hikes that you can take from 1-5 KM featuring a wonderful walk in green patches and long wooden bridges above the swamp, where you can see different types of birds and other animals. In some areas there is even small shelters that allows you to observe and take pictures without interfering. There is also a small house with information and a small exhibit. If you are in the area you must stop by, if not its only about an hour drive from Montreal. Trust me you will thank me later

There's 2 different sections: the food station is outside at the back side outdoors has lots of casse croute options: you get fries, poutine burgers and light snacks I believe it's the same owners of Patate & Persil .. check out my review from them they're super good too. At the bar section: theres famous cocktails sangria, bloody marry and lots of more drinks .. it is quite pricey not going to lie 2 drinks was around 31$ but it was very nice and tasty ... You can also bring your own drinks and food if you like they're just street vendors and don't own the establishment Overall, It's a beautiful place to gather around and totally worth checking it out. I spent a fabulous day here kayaking down the Chateauguay River Valley along the Chateauguay River,…read morealong lazy, calm waters and through farmers fields and under the canopy of trees. If you have never kayaked before, you can't ask for a better place to learn and enjoy this sport. The river is very shallow and calm with a few sports of slight rapids (which are just rocks really, which shows you how shallow the water really is). For $40, you basically get a kayak, a life jacket and a paddle and a drop-off ride where the folks at Kayak Safari will give you lift and drop you off at the beginning of your journey. With 6 different routes to choose from 5km long (2 hours) to 16km long(5 hours), all you need to do is pack a your sunscreen, a sunhat, bug juice, maybe a water bottle and some snacks in a small backpack. I'd also recommend wearing your bathing suit as it can get really hot under the sun when the river runs through wide open corn fields and no shade anywhere. Also with paddling you'll be splashing a bit so you're bound to get wet anyway. There is also the possibility of tipping over which is a good idea to just waterproof you bag in case. Once, you're off, all you have to do is sit back, relax and paddle along slowly and take in the sights of the river, the birds, the fields, the old abandoned bridges you'll be paddling under and some of the cutest cottages I've seen in Quebec. People in Montreal are so obsessed with the Laurentians and the Eastern Townships that they completely overlook the Western Townships and the charms of the villages and town in the area. For first-timers, I'd recommend doing the Athelstan route. I'd come back here again in a heartbeat and look forward to doing the longer routes. The students who operate the outfit are all very friendly and helpful as well but do keep in mind that you have to sign off on a disclaimer at the beginning and take full responsibility in case of any accidents.

The concept is simple: show up, watch the safety video and ride a tiny motor with your foot on the gas like you have no concept of road etiquette. I was particularly thrilled that we got placed on the advanced track that side-winds and offers lots of fun little drifting curves. Aggressive rednecks or not on the track, I had a blast. The pricing gets cheaper the more ten-minute sessions you sign up for, although it starts at $20 per session. For any rookies out there, while ten minutes may not seem like a lot at first, it's plenty when you're two inches off of the ground with a hot little engine under your body. If I'm going to be honest, we were all even a little sore after our ten minute session. The only reason I've allocated four stars here instead of five is my love/hate feels over the service. I could have done without some of the attitude the kids working the track were serving but hey, I probably would have been the same way if I was a high school kid working at a go karting track in St Zotique.
