As with many nice places, users are the problem- especially when they do not understand the concept of sharing a space with others. Most recently, we were enjoying a lovely and peaceful Sunday morning stroll and picnic breakfast when the stillness was shattered by a woman (purportedly teaching some sort of class) braying like a jackass and screaming at the top of her lungs, disturbing other users and the many wonderful ducks which, ultimately, took flight at all the commotion. This place was PERFECT The trails are well kept, some picnic tables/area at the edges but most of the walk is lovely, filled with people but yet feels not crowded, great views to the river, lots of birds and lots of dogs (I love places like this). My son loved the riding experience, my dog loved the exercise and I loved the entire bundle. There are several paths, some are more magical than others. The Dog path is also the main one, which is about 6 Km of a wonderful shaded trail so even during a blazing sun and a hot day like today we could enjoy the shade, cool forest smells and not break swat. PERFECT. The trail is a good dirt/gravel road that even a good stroll can pass there and is perfect for running. Bonus there are benches and garbage bins along the trails. So what can I do here except hiking ? There are Geocaches, disc-golf, swimming pool (was still closed), running, outdoor sport, soccer 9there is a field, fishing. Bottom line a wonderful well maintained park that is a great solution for a fun and short nature escape.

I just returned home from my 4th visit to Voyageur, the last 3 in as many years, and it's by far my…read morefavourite place to go camping. We stay at Portage campground (there are 4 campground all together), because it's by far the most wooded and private. The lots are huge, and almost completely closed in. It's difficult to hear anyone else unless they are being very loud, which you're not supposed to do. There is a "no excessive noise at any time" rule in place. The lots are so big that we had room for 3 tents (a 3 person, a 4 person and a 6 person tent) plus a 12 x 12 screen house and two cars. We rented two lots as we were a group of 8 people, and put the picnic table from the other lot on ours and still had plenty of space for everyone to move around, set up outdoor games, and sit, distanced, around the fire. I will only plan camping trips here.

Right in front of the Centre de Peche CR there is a 30 foot hole where walleye sit and the fishing nearby holds plenty of bass in the shallows with the odd Musky and pike and sheepshead. You can also if you desire go out to Lac des Deux Montagnes and Ile aux Tortes bridge or down and around to Pointe Du Moulin. I lost the musky of my life last tear in September 500 yards from the dock. Right now is the time to go I reccomend it 100%.

Went camping here a few weeks ago, and I loved what the park had to offer…read more They have a modern discovery centre that has bathroom facilities even when the centre is closed. The outhouses were not bad at all either, equipped with hand sanitizer. Our rustic campsites were spacious, but we chose one that was a bit too open. The neighbours didn't arrive until later so it was ok. The trails were very well maintained. Didn't feel like I was hiking an intermediate trial because there was no treacherous terrain to climb through. We had to leave early because there was a storm and it got too cold, but I'd love to come back and see the rest of the huge park!
