Never Again!! be fair, its lucky to get a single star from me and its only because its the minimal rating i can give. I went to have my hair coloured and styled. i explained it was my first time colouring my hair only to be reassured it would look good. It was a pampering gift so got the price and booked appointment. the appointment itself: Went in and was told to wait 'over there' whilst filling in a form. (staff count 1) finally greeted (nearly 15minutes later) by a member of staff (staff count 2) only to be give my jumper and recieve a gown. Offered drink and got a luke warm glass of water in return. Yet another member of staff (staff count 3) talked out of the colour i asked for as it would be too dark for my skin complexion. After another long wait the staff (staff count 4) came and put the dye on my hair. She was rough with my hair as it tangled in the dye.( first time dying the hair..and..NOTE, NO COLOUR TEST)!! left to wait with the dye and then washed out. yet another member of staff (staff count 5) dried it and then another (Staff count 6) to cut it. Finally 'finished' very bright red, rather than the deeper purple that i had hoped for, (ok advised not the purple but bright red?? was a huge shock). it was a messy chop rather than the layered feathered look i was hoping for. Told it was the way it was dried. Went to pay and nearly cried! receptionist (staff count 7) i handed the money i was quoted when i booked it, only to be told it was 3x's the price!! when i suggested i didn't have the money, i was rudely told theres a cash machine up the high street but i must pay before leaving (how do i go to cash machine without leaving salon)? reason for priceapparently i had been seen by the head stylist and colourist. At no point was i given an option of who i was seen by. By the attitude of the staff and all the waiting around, i would have said they were more like Juniors and an i was just a inconvenience. to sum it up, the salon is great if you want the brightest catwalk hair, have money falling out of your pocket, time to waste and want awful service by 7 different members of staff!!! since then ive been shown to do the home kits and can honestly say ive had better results from a £6.99 carton than a ''professional'' saloon. read more

The staff at Rush are always very attentive and have great suggestions about what to do with my hair. At the same time they are not pushy which I have experienced at other high end salons in Windsor. They go the extra mile during your appointment to make it a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Opening hours are good which means I can get an appointment after work or late on a Saturday before a night out. I recently attended a Christmas event which the Rush Windsor team organised for there clients and it was fab! They were demonstrating various services they offer and I was also able to speak to their Kerastase expert (hair products they recommend and stock) who gave me one to one advice on the products I should be using which have already improved the condition of my hair ready for my wedding in May. Obviously I would have nobody other than the Rush team doing my wedding hair, along with the rest of the wedding party, on the big day! read more

I went to this salon a year ago after having a colour disaster at another salon, my hair was damaged and patchy, I was walking past on a Sunday in bits and just happened to stop in to see if they had an appointment. As soon as I walked in the door I could tell the salon was busy and I started to give up hope, the girl manning the reception desk (I now know as Kirsty) was extremely helpful and comforting, she made space for me and got me sat down, within minutes I had a glass of wine in front of me and my stylists Tilly and Luke came over to speak to me. A few hours later I left with a BEAUTIFUL shiny chocolatey brown with some lighter bits through the top, and a lovely new haircut! My hair now feels amazing due to my cut and new hair care products! I'm extremely surprised about the previous reviews of RUSH Windsor as I had a great experience! Walked in, meet and greet was plesant, ushered around and advised appropriately re styles, cuts etcin what was at the time a very busy salon! I live and work in London and 'busy busy' and a lack of due care and attention is pretty much what I have become used toso visiting a place that seemed to actually care about the service surrounding the product was refreshing! Don't let the above put you off, all friendly people in RUSH Windsorunsure how I could imagine experiences as noted in prior reviews given the treatment I recieved. As with all review sites (a bit like booking a holiday), you don't know until you try it yourself and actually, you may be given the star treatment as I was! Unbelievable customer service from the second I walked in. I was greeted with a smile and had my coat taken, very impressed that the girl at reception was expecting me and had gone to the trouble to know me by name already. My haircut was with Hayley, the petite blonde owner, she saw that I was brought beer and pretzels when I was sat down, the consultation was very personal with good input and suggestions without coming across as pushy in any way, the quality of the cut and attention to detail was second to none and I can honestly say that given my awkward hair I have never had a better haircut. Considering the salon seemed busy, everything seemed to run smoothly which made the experience even more enjoyable, definitely will be using RUSH again as you leave feeling it was more than just a haircut read more

After 20 years of visiting the same Salon I decided it was time for a change. I was obviously nervous and I started to look for a Salon in Windsor where I live. My Niece told me to try Rush because she had heard it was fantastic I went along for my first visit well over a year ago and I've never looked back. The entire team are exceptionally customer focused always delivering a first class service. I personally always book with Tilly who completely understands my requirements I have total confidence in her. The girls who shampoo are great and very well selected for their future careers in hairdressing. I would definitely recommend Rush to any prospective clients. read more

I visited RUSH Hair in Windsor on their opening weekend and have been a regular ever since! The whole experience is great, all the staff are presented well, friendly and professional, there are a few things that sets RUSH apart from its competitors, the coffee served in a cafeteria, glasses of bubbly, the relaxed, low lit washing area, but most of all it's the quality of the advice and the expertise of the styling itself, I always leave with exactly what I wanted and often receive text messages with offers, which are great (even though I would always return without them . . . .don't tell them though!) read more

Lorraine Blick I visited Rush Windsor Salon last weekend to have my hair done for a special occasion and treated my Mum who is in her 70's to have her hair done as well. The staff were all lovely especially when it came to looking after my Mum, the Stylist was professional and informative and yes its not the cheapest place but its definitely value for money as there are many high end Salons in Windsor like Rush but they are far more expensive for the same services and not nearly as nice a place to visit. My Mum loved the little extras like wine and pretzels! We'll definitely be going back. read more

I always go to Rush Windsor and I'm always really happy with the results and the service. I was recently invited to a client evening where they show cased different things that they do at the salon. They served canopies and champagne and the atmosphere was electric! I booked in for a brazilian blowdry and just absolutely LOVE the result just like the girls said I would. I'm so tired of being charged WEST END FEES by inadequate, semi-trained hairdressers. £42 for a gents cut ain't cheap but wouldn't be so bad if it was a good cut. Monica didn't listen to what I asked for, didn't have have a clue about following the shape of the head and hair type etc. Used to go the The Ginger Group, that's closed down now, unfortunately the salon manager there had more talent than all of these put together, and the same price. read more

After trying so many different hairdressers and not ever being completely happy with the result, I eventually found Rush Windsor. I was immediately given a warm welcome by the staff and made to feel at ease. My hairdresser Katie was really good at listening to what I wanted as well as making suggestions to make my style more current. The end result was fabulous. I visit Rush every few weeks to get my hair cut by Monika. She is very attentive and ensures that the customer is always happy! Not only does she do a very good job of cutting/styling hair, but she is also extremely friendly and makes the whole 'going to get a hair cut' process enjoyable and relaxing. I visit rush Windsor regularly for my 4 weekly haircut! I always feel so relaxed and respected in the salon. I usually visit either Luke or Iona depending who's available! (theyre obviously in popular demand). And I am never disappointed. Definately worth a visit, even if it is just for the head massage, alcohol and conversation! worst hairdresser I've ever been to. My colour was uneven and missed the roots. the salon is staffed with undertrained and undersupervised juniors I tried to speak to the manager over three days bur she was never in, always 'in meetings'.
