I was well looked after by the hair washer, who gave me a lovely massage, and the hairstylist was friendly but not too animated (which is a pet hate of mine, I don't need to talk ALL the time). The decor is French and feminine with antique furniture and there was alternative music playing which was a nice change to other salons I've been in. The overall result was good, but not the greatest haircut I've ever had. However, the price is great, so it's a little bit of a trade off.

It had to be a present; this place really is so expensive I will never be able to go back on my own wallet. The look of the place is ultra swanky, all upstairs above the Duke Of York Square with lots of different rooms devoted to all the different niche areas of hair dressing. There seems to be just as many assistants as there are hairdressers and in addition there are people to bring you coffee, food, do your nails and generally smile encouragingly as your style takes shape. I liked the cut and with a colour it was completed in just under 3 hours which seems about average in this city. It's definitely one of the best hairdressing experiences on offer in the capital and I did feel like everything was 'being taken care of'. Without being totally sexiest, I would imagine that women, especially those with a bit of money and time, would really, really, enjoy this one.

I have long hair and salon treatments tend to cost me a pretty penny, but it was worth it. There are many other hair salon in the area just like Hayato hair salon, now, why did I decided on the Jubilee?? the hair salon I first went into in fact was Hayato but the guy was cocky and with attitude so I left their premise... Since they seems to want to only do ppl with "Virgin hair" un-dyed. Anyways after that moment my second choice became my first choice and I'm glad! I was hesitating if I wanted my hair color done in this hair salon, so I had a consultation with one of the staff then decided to book an appointment for the Saturday, which I was given the approx amount what I would expect to be paying and made a deposit. My hair stylist's name is Yukiko, very professional and polite, I did twice bleaching, color and hair cut, I went for balayage ombré with so baby light in the tone of grey blue lilac ish kind of theme, I also had hair mask done as well. Overall i like my experience although the price was a bit high, considering it is however in Covent Garden, everything will b higher price point. On my first visit I didn't get the desired color, therefore, YUkiko offered me to come back the following week to fix my color, and I would require to pay if I need bleaching, otherwise I won't. I like how my haircut went, I just trimmed about 2-3 inches n cleaned up the end since bleaching pretty much kill my hair anyways lol. My other half had a hair cut all went well, he had a junior stylist cut his hair n he payed 35£ n he like it so that's all it matters. Product they use for hair colouring is Wella, I wish they uses Olaplex but oh well. Overall experience it was great! Definitely recommend and would go back to YuKiko.

The style and feel of the salon fits in well with Brick Lane's trendsetting style and quirky fashionista / art school feel. What attracted me first to the salon was the fact they have a little resident dog (a king edward spaniel I think) always either sitting at the window, or in summer, just outside. The salon itself has a vintage boudoir feel and is not that huge. It's always pretty busy so make sure you book in advance. I've been there two or three times now but have never left fully satisfied. Although the staff are efficient, helpful and friendly and the salon is really beautifully designed, the actual hair styles I have received have fallen below my personal standards. I always feel there is a danger with these places that they may give you the hair style that's most "in vogue" for them / around that area and, sadly, here that is true. I've had a Rod Stewart mullet a few times and I've left a little dissatisfied. For the price, this place is probably not worth it. Unfortunately, here, it's a case of style of substance.

She must have thought this made her edgy? The highlights were rushed, she was complaining about hand cramps and didn't do a throrough job, the colour was off and didn't match the rest of my hair and the staff were all rude. It's also in a convenient location in the town centre by the Broad street mall. I was first introduced to Headmaster's in London near Paddington station and had consistently amazing results with my colourist Thea. Yet, the branch in Reading leaves something to be desired. The staff have given me both great and terrible results. The worst being some highlights done last year which were so uneven and over-processed. They responded professionally when I went back and gave me a full refund and another colour on top in an attempt to make my hair look normal again. However, it hasn't been the same since and I've been searching for the best hairdresser in Reading for a while now. I wish I could have found someone there I would be happy to recommend but nothing yet. I don't completely hate headmaster's but I can't love them either because I don't know the staff there enough. So, my main recommendation would be to go with a senior stylist or colourist if you decide to go here. I put pricey because the last time I went I felt it was very inflated for what I got. However, you can get good deals if you use the student discounts and recommend a friend or birthday discounts.

Desperately needing help, I booked a consultation with Natasha--and I wish I had booked my blonde appointment with her in the first place! Natasha was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to sit down with me and create a personalized hair repair routine for my blonde hair, even writing everything down on cards so I wouldn't forget. What really stood out to me was how genuine and thorough she was. It's so rare to find a hairstylist who doesn't just try to push products on you but instead genuinely explains what your hair needs and why. Even though I could tell I was her last customer of the day (the front desk staff looked ready to lock up), Natasha didn't rush at all. She patiently went through photos of the products I had at home, explaining which ones she recommended, which to skip, and what routine she thought would work best for me. She was even honest about the products she wasn't familiar with, which I truly appreciated. I genuinely appreciate hairstylists like Natasha--knowledgeable, honest, and caring. If more hairstylists were like her, the hair industry would be so much better. I highly recommend her!
