Spradlin Automotive and Auto Sales…read more This has to be the most honest mechanic that I have ever seen. If someone tells you that you need a $200.00 part put on your car and you take it there . . . if you do not need that $200.00 part to fix the problem but a $20.00 part instead, he WILL NOT put that $200.00 part on. If he tells you that something is wrong, you can trust him. The sprinkles on top of the cupcake . . . he guarantees his work. If he fixes something and it goes out or breaks, he will fix it on his dime, not yours. This man's word is his bond. And the car lot is ran by his son. The same honesty and great service. The bottom line is INTEGRITY. This business is all about integrity.

I was driving south on I-55 about 10 miles North of Jackson, MO when I had a tire failure. I…read moreslowed to extend the range of the run flat tire so that I could get off the hwy and find a safe spot. Gearheads was recommended to me by a local vendor as someone that could help. They are not just a tire shop but a complete repair facility. They did help! I decided to replace the two rear tires and due to the fact that they were wider than everyday tires and run flats, they were difficult to source. It took longer than we both thought but the delay was not caused by Gearheads, and in fact they kept me informed almost daily. But when the tires were received, they were installed almost immediately and my journey home was a smooth and uneventful ride, as we all love. Again, Gearheads, especially Dani, did everything humanly possible to bet me back on the road safely and I really appreciate how they took care of me. If they were closer to me, they would be my goto care care facility.

The technician alerted me that the oil drain plug had been mis-threaded when put back on. Also they told me that the transmission fluid was extremely low. Kind of strange, Performance Quick lube always told me they checked it. They never checked it. WARNING! - I would go to another oil change place than this one. They have lost my trust for sure.

I have never been to another location where I was spoken to like I had any idea about anything. Typically at plaza they make you feel stupid and force something on you like your life depends on it. But in Scott City the manager speaks to you like a human and works with you. While waiting for my oil change I overheard him talking with another customer, he explained to her what to do in a friendly manner. I have been at other locations and heard similar conversations that ended with telling customers they needed to replace something. If you are someone that does business with plaza tire, go to Scott City. If you can't go to Scott City, I would tell you to pick another company. Scott City Plaza Tire or no Plaza Tire. Kudos Scott City!
