Stopped in this store while visiting Aberdeen from Los Angeles, CA. I heard from a local they had a great selection of boots and gear. I did find some great boots and was hoping to purchase some for myself and the kids but I decided to leave and will never return to this store again nor will I ever recommend this store to anyone to spend one penny in there. Unfortunately, you can't give negative amounts of stars on Yelp so I had to give 1. I have travelled all around the United States as well as Europe and NEVER in my life have I ever felt so discriminated against and for this to happen in my own Country, in a town where I have friends and family, is so disappointing and unacceptable. I didn't realize what was going on until I had already wasted about 30 minutes of my time in there. Little did I know that from the moment I walked in, I was being watched and followed. It got to the point that I turned around twice and finally asked the female employee who was following me if SHE needed assistance! She looked at me and took out her phone, sent a text or possibly took a picture of me and then walked up to the front where she proceeded to stare at me and point me out to her coworker. At that point I found my friend and told her we needed to get the heck out of that place. Not once was I asked if I needed assistance with anything. I did get stared at by another employee when I was trying on a jacket in plain sight of her. I don't know why- I am guess maybe she thought I was going to try to shove that giant jacket it in my purse or something insane like that! Was it my Quicksilver sweatshirt or maybe because I have long black hair and my skin is a darker shade of brown??? Was it my Californian accent? No one should ever have to be made to feel like I was made to feel in Runnings. Hopefully Runnings management will read this and provide anti-discrimination training to their staff. read more
