This is a review after being on campus for one full day and receiving a very good guided tour…read more We were visiting Northern when our son was trying to narrow down what school he wanted to attend and be a student athlete for. We also visited 3 other universities in North Dakota not to far from here. The tour was very nice and the young student guide was a very sharp kid. We found the campus to be nice with a laid back relaxed feel. The facilities for the most part were very well taken care of except for the athletic facilities..they were awesome. It's evident that Northern Takes their sports serious and that's a good thing. The coaches we met were very professional and accommodating. They took their time with us and we certainly felt they were not pushy. The classrooms and educational buildings were nice but I have to say they dorms need some updating. Although my son picked another school north of here, I would have to say Northern came in a very close second.

Unbelievably poor product and service!…read more I don't live in Aberdeen, but was in town last weekend for a family funeral. To save time, I called in an order before I left for a funeral wreath listed at $150 on their website. When I arrived at the funeral home, what I discovered looked something like something that had been recycled from the weekend before. Several flowers that had apparently fallen off, and were indiscriminately placed back on. I'm not talking about two or three, there were dozens of flowers that were just lying on their sides on top of other flowers. I spent 15 minutes sticking as many back in as I could, the picture is from after that effort, and I still missed some. When I returned home, I discovered they actually charged me $200 for this disaster, I reached out via email. The response I got back was "once it has been delivered it is out of our control as to what happens to it", with no explanation of why I was charged $50 more. They actually blamed the funeral home. I have some experience with funeral wreaths, having the unfortunate honor of purchasing more than a dozen in the last few year's (this was my first for Aberdeen), so I know that flowers don't fall off like that unless you do a poor job putting them in, or you skimp on the number of flowers so they don't have enough volume to hold them in. I was born in Aberdeen, and I remember the people being proud of the work they do and the products they make, so I was surprised to learn that today's Aberdeen doesn't give a crap anymore.

Lance was very knowledgeable and stayed until our cable and internet was up and running. You don't get this kind of service often and it didn't cost us a cent. I highly recommend NVC. Thank you.
