    Sparkletts Water

    Sparkletts Water

I really never do reviews, but this experience was unbelievable. I have never had such blatant ****…read morecustomer service. I had sparkletts quite a few years ago in Phoenix metro area and never had a problem with them, the driver I had was great. This is when it was Danon Waters, I'm not sure if its a different set of owners now or if COVID broke their take on what's important, but something is wrong with this company, at least here in flagstaff. So, I have been going to Sedona water for a few years since we moved to Flag because there is no water store in Flag. A bit ago, I thought I would try delivery service. I didn't want to be driving to Sedona forever. So I look at Sparklettes and see they deliver to my zip code, so I set up an account online and start to schedule service. Their online setup wont let you just order bottles, it forces you to get a cooler as well... I don't need it (I have my own cooler) but ok fine, its $4 a month, ill get one. Well, the day comes for my delivery... no one ever shows, but I see on my account, that it was delivered. The next day, I call their 800 number and they go through and tell me we will reschedule you for tomorrow and have a rep from flag contact you today. No rep contacts me that day. The next day, their driver, Travis calls me and states he delivered my stuff to building 5 up on the hill. I question why he delivered to 5, when I clearly put Building 4 on the Driver notes and 5 is right next to 4, not up on the hill (this was a blatant lie, the guy never delivered at all). So he tells me to text him for future stuff its easier for him sometimes as he is busy, ok, I'm fine with that, id rather text. So when I get the cooler, I find the cold doesn't work, So I text him. He says try and unplug it and let it sit for 15m and plug it back in. Ok I do that, text him back Friday evening, this cooler doesn't work. In the mean time I check my account and now see that I have two coolers and 6 bottles of water charged to me.. What? So I text this to Travis also. This guy never responds. Monday rolls around, I text him again at 8am about the cooler, he replies after a bit stating he can probably get it to my on wed, maybe Thursday. what? WTF kind of customer service is this? So again I text him about my account having 2 coolers and 6 bottles charged to it... the guy just never responds back, Thursday rolls around and he finally texts back stating he was sorry, he can get the cooler to me tomorrow. I'm done at this point and call the 800 number again. I explained what happened to the CSR and their non existent care for the situation pushed me over the edge with dealing with a total lack of customer service from all fronts and I decide there I would cancel. They set a date for the driver to pick up items... of course he never shows till two days later... Maybe I'm old school, but I believe in bending over backwards to make something right for a customer when things don't go well. I would never recommend them, unless they got rid of this lackadaisical driver and did some CS training to their staff.

I had them deliver water for 2 years to our summer home. It took many phone calls to both start and…read morestop delivery both summers. It got to the point that the regional manager had to intervene to get anything done. In all fairness this issue may be a Flagstaff management problem. Even regional managers had difficulty getting the local managers to return phone inquiries. Mere customer service reps had no chance of response. I spent many hours on the phone trying to fix the situation, it cannot be fixed. I pay more for water now but do not have to waste time and frustration trying to deal with a rock of a system. Save yourself the aggravation, go somewhere else.

Be advised, bargain hunters and 99¢ store aficionados: Family Dollar, while certainly a purveyor…read moreof discounts and seconds, has most items priced at more than a dollar. I understand that for some, this will result in an apoplectic display of unadulterated, authentic frontier jibberish... but if you can get past this point, there are some cheapish finds here if you're willing to lower your standards to a level of basic utility and accept the nearly disposable nature of items found here (note, there's a Dollar General around the corner, but if you don't like Family Dollar's pricing, you're gonna have a bad time there, too.) Staying with the kids at a nearby hotel, we wandered in for cheap hotel toys, batteries, and some warm hats and gloves. All of these items were found quickly in the somewhat cluttered but small store. Several "end displays" of assorted bins of crapulent knock-off toys block the entrance/exit, and likely excite the Fire Marshal on his bi-annual visits. Cheap ski caps for a dollar and mittens/gloves for $3 were ours for the taking. Five year old daughter selected some terrible Shopkins toy, and sons settled on walkie talkies with a 6 ft. range and lots of "squelch" (sorry Millenial readers, you grew up in a world of telecommunications in which squelch was probably irrelevant...) Anyway, I enjoy pawing through discount store stock like some kind of starving raccoon... sometimes, you just might find the proverbial lobster tail that got dropped on the floor. Don't hate on Family Dollar; just think of them as Big Lots' smaller second cousin with a superfluous third nipple and maybe missing a toe on her left foot.
