I stayed with it for a long time But you know... life. looking through our storage I found some Bandai Gundam PG kits I paid way too much for in Japan a decade or so ago. Amidst downsizing and such I figured why not finish/refurbish em? So I googled and made the drive! So great to find a model/hobby store that's BLACK OWNED! WHAT?! Lots of great stuff! funky layout with the buzzer but now that I get it... I get it! Already itching to go back. What a cool place. AND THEY GOT TAMIYA STUFF, FAM! I emptied my eBay cart. As a non-big-box dude, its great to stumble on a small-batch well-appointed spot with some history. 25 year?! Cool. Highly recommend. A biz partner lives around the corner so its Nice to have a reason to be late. the front of the shop is all tools. the back is steeped in every kind of Model and figurine a hobbyist would like. There isn't even a window to showcase the amazing amount of gear and supplies that lurk within! Miniatures, models, dollhouse components, dollhouse furniture, hobbyist wood and metal dowels and panels, paint, adhesives, quilling and origami papers, pre-shaped small wood parts, different types of small metal chain, some beads, tools and brushes of all kinds, including semi-diposable microbrushes perfect for getting into those nooks and crannies. We also found a roller-skate and skateboard side to the business, and I'm seriously considering getting myself some roller skates, though I would certainly need safety equipment now. We stopped by on a hot a humid sat. The A/C wasn't very strong, so if you're sensitive to heat or closed-in spaces (claustrophobic) this might be a good alternative to send a proxy and have them video-call you from inside the shop!

It's a little out of the way, and it's a bit of a jumble. Most of these supplies look as though they sat in a warehouse for a long time. You have to be willing to look and search. I'm pretty craft-compulsive, and I bought nothing. Nothing. There were some (longtime?) customers in the store so they must know what they want. I was able to go down aisles, wander down corridors freely and no one bothered me. I suppose if I asked for help I would have gotten it. Sorry but this was not my vibe.

I recently moved back into the area, and was looking for paint for a couple of model projects. Judging by their website, I was under the impression that they were mainly trains, but they had the paint I was looking for, so I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised to see that they carried a wide selection of of other items including plastic model kits. The staff was very courteous and helpful, especially the older gentleman who brought me a shopping basket when he saw the growing number of paint bottles I was holding. As it turned out, they were having a store wide sale which meant I was able to get what I needed for a savings on what I had expected to pay when I walked in the door. I will definitely be returning.

He is by far one of the nicest shop owners I have ever met in the U.S. He really cares deeply about his customers and wants everyone to be satisfied with what they are buying. He allows you to check the models before taking them home to make sure they are not defective. Compared to eBay or other websites. I find models here to be the cheapest. A model plane will be $120 on eBay but then this place has it for like $46. Forgot to mention that the price you see is the not the price you pay. Steve takes money off and if you pay with cash and save him credit card fees, he will take a few dollars off. Would highly recommend this hobby store. I come here about once a month and I always have an amazing experience!
