As soon as I arrived I was greeted and pointed to the right direction to find hockey items. Found what I needed. A great guy fit my little guy for a new helmet since he has out grew the one he got a few months ago. Oy! He was really good with him and made sure to try on a few and ask the right questions to find him a suitable helmet. After getting a helmet and some knew pads, we looked around the store to see what other items they had. Ended up buying a t-shirt as well since my little guy has a new obsession with Sidney Crosby? Boys! Paid for our items at the front counter and the girl was very friendly and nice. All in all, great experience and will be back for any other sporting needs.

Usually, i have to visit a number of different Sport Cheks if i'm looking for a specific product because of stock issues, but i find this location to usually have a great selection and more stock available than most locations. It's clean, organized, and easy to get around with usually pretty good staff. I'll run into some long line-ups onces in awhile which can be a bit annoying, but for the most part, they resolve the line-ups in pretty quick fashion.

Hockey equipment fills up most of the store with all the helmets, padding, sticks and skates they have, but they also focus on other sports too. You can buy those gloves for the golfer in the family, or the pigskin for the football fan. They even sell jerseys and little figurines. There is so much stuff in this store that it's actually quite packed and crammed in. There isn't too much space to walk around and browse with all the stuff randomly placed around the store. Of course, all the people perusing the isles don't help either. I wasn't really offered a hand with finding anything, which was crappy because it took me a while. I could have asked for help, but I had a hard time locating someone who worked there. I think they were wearing green shirts, but I can't be sure. I'm pretty sure this is THE store in Calgary for Disc Golf and Disc Golf accessories. I'm not huge into this world, but I've never seen this kind of selection at any other store in the city. There's something so satisfying about the way the old hardwood floors creak as you walk around them perusing some sexy Devinci mountain bikes. I've bought some bike accessories from this store, including my floor pump and several expensive tubes (until I learned that $5-$7 tubes do in fact still exist and you don't need to waste your money.) But for some reason I keep skipping them on the bigger items. Keeping in mind I usually want some niche high end mountain biking or fixie gear, this store would be for you if you're... well if you're not a mountain bike freerider/fixed gear hipster. Commuters, road bikers, and anyone who's a fan of Opus or Devinci may very well find a happy home here. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. If you're into disc golf, definitely go here.
