We managed to grab a plushie that was literally hanging by its tag and should have fallen into the prize chute, but the staff refused to give it to us. That was incredibly frustrating after spending money trying to win it. Arcade and claw machine games are already difficult enough, but when it feels like the rules change whenever someone is about to win, it's hard to have any confidence in the games or the business. Would not recommend. There are plenty of better ways to spend your time and money in Hong Kong.

Mr X is another one of those escape games places in HK, but this one is different - I can't reveal…read moretoo much in the review or else I'll spoil it for you, but there's a lot of technology and cool gadgets involved in all the rooms that makes the experience ten times better. Imagine doors opening on command when you key in the correct code, activating the UV light switch and seeing a world of new clues spelled out for you, and distorting yourself as you go through - yes - a laser maze. There are seven different missions at Mr X and they all have different themes. Don't underestimate the challenges; they all require you to be thinking really hard and considering every possibility that's out there. You'll need to be cooperating with your friends well and talking about your ideas because they might know something you don't! What sets Mr X apart from a lot of other similar establishments in HK is the sheer size of the puzzle - I've been to many of them, and in most, you're trapped in that room and that's it. At Mr X, it's actually one HUGE area that's partitioned into smaller rooms, and the clues lead you on to going into the next rooms to eventually 'escape'. The team at Mr X is very friendly and if you're stuck, you can call for help and they'll give you a hint that's just enough to point you in the right direction. The games at Mr X definitely aren't cheap - the last time I checked it's $138 per person, and their newest room, room seven, is a whopping $180! I can't speak for that one as I haven't tried it, but I've done rooms one to six (I did them when they were having a student promotion - $100 per person) and they were definitely an experience I recommend! I would give it five stars but sigh, it only it were a little bit less expensive!

They have ping pong, air hockey, arcade games, and card games as well. It seems like a cool place and even though we didn't eat here I would next time. The staff was super friendly as well. The interior decor--a pastel colour palette with brass accents, velvet and wood-accent furniture, and retro-inspired accessories--establishes a relaxed atmosphere. The selection of games and entertainment are accessible and engaging to both children and adults, including 9/18 holes of miniature golf (ranging in difficulty), table tennis, and arcade-style video games. After devouring a collection of truly impressive and dynamic small plates and main dishes, it is clear why Chef Chris has such genuine enthusiasm and pride in his culinary work, particularly in the recently revamped Strokes menu. From the small plates menu, we thoroughly enjoyed the Fried Brussels Sprouts, as well as the Keto Moco--one divinely prepared fried egg on top of a (substituted) Beyond Meat patty, resting on a bed of cauliflower couscous and generously surrounded with savoury mousse. In a tasting of the large plates menu, the Pork Belly with Pandan Gremolata was expertly prepared and our absolute favourite--the exterior was golden and crisp, while the meat was tender, juicy, and flavourful with the perfect balance of fat, salt, and zest. A unique and refreshing bite was the Tangy Pomelo Salad--a seemingly effortless balance of fresh and crisp textures with sweet, sour, and salty flavours. We also demolished the Animal Burger (substituted a Beyond Meat patty) with Fries--a classic snack that was, like all of the previous dishes, perfectly prepared, and satisfying. The bar features the usual beer, wine, and liquor, however, the bartenders prepared several specialty cocktails that were delicious and thoughtfully crafted to complement the specific Malaysian-influenced flavours of the small and large plates. Our experience was flawless. We look forward to our next visit, largely due to the truly exceptional food, fun atmosphere, and unmatched hospitality.
