Having to jump through hoops just to get the original title to my car from previous lienholder and DMV, I wanted the MD registration and titling to go a lot smoother. Found out this can all be done through a tag and titling service instead of the MVA, so per usual, off to Yelp I go to find the best of the best. **Terry's Tag & Title Service** there it was, in all its glory. I had a few (ok, a lot) of questions before heading to Terry's in person - I first called the Columbia location and spoke to Brian, who was very helpful. He gave me a checklist of documents to bring and advised me to wait to come in until I have all the docs in hand. After weeks of waiting on my title, I had more questions and this time, I connected with Terry via email. After answering my questions and providing reassurance, she offered to meet us at this location and help us on a Saturday morning since all locations were closed for Labor Day weekend. After hearing our story, she anticipated our next steps (such as getting MD licenses) and gave us advice - made me feel she was looking out for us. She was knowledgeable, personable, and very efficient. I appreciated Terry's guidance through all of this and in the end, Terry's Tag & Title Service helped us save time and money. Using the wrong outdated tag and title forms, claiming you can't have your "severely disabled…read moreveteran tag" transferred if your every day mobility vehicle is too heavy with the lithium battery bank and specialized equipment needed to keep your service dog safe in the vehicle, and when proven wrong claiming that it is because there is a toilet in the vehicle that you depend on to get back and forth to constant doctor appointments and therapy. I could show you some things that would literally make you puke your guts out and realize that that's exactly why you need the toilet in the vehicle, and your animal safe. This is not some big motorhome, but a small vehicle that fits in a parking space, and the dog's life is imperative to the safety and daily living of the handler/driver! Two solid years of training, $25,000-$50,000 that a 100% service connected combat infantry vet's life depends on. Funny that you don't count as a severely disabled veteran if you have a toilet. All nonsense, when they knew all along that there was a form to be filed with the other forms noting that it is your every day driver. These people have been doing this for decades? I don't know about other people, but veterans need to stay as far away from this business as possible. The vehicle that the severely disabled veteran plate came off of was rated heavier than the new mobility vehicle, and issued directly from PennDOT in Harrisburg! If the lithium battery packs are too heavy for a person to be handicapped, what is all this nonsense of trying to make everyone buy electric vehicles?
