There is no listing for Rumble Pond Park, so I tried to create one. It deserves one as it is much nicer than its more famous and larger cousin down the street, Mill Pond Park. We only stumbled on to this park because we were looking for the other and actually thought this was it. We found it to be very nice and did not have time to visit the actual park, until months later. To our disappointment, it did not compare well to Rumble.
The address listed, 448 Mill Street, is approximate as I do not there is an official address, but the postal code should be accurate.
The park on the north side of Mill Street is the real attraction. The south is too similar to generic parks you can find anywhere.
There is a picturesque, large gazebo that is lot nicer than your average park Gazebo. A small island is located in the middle of the pond connected by a scenic bridge. It is certainly more romantic than the other parks. If you are into photography, this place has more potential than Mill Pond. The only downside is it is small. In some parks, you feel immersed in nature, but you don't really experience that here with the road being so close and the noise of traffic.

Humans like novelty, so if you go a place a dozen times, you will not experience it as the first time and might get bored with it. I enjoyed my second trip here. We finally got around seeing Mill Pond Park was not too impressed and decided to revisit this one since we were so close, but it wasn't as pleasant as the first trip. If you've never been, do not live too far and have a special someone, you should check it out. It is definitely worth the effort. read more
