I've had great experiences with several trainers, but I have a soft spot for Eunice, who's incredibly warm, encouraging, and always makes you feel seen, no matter your fitness level. The locker rooms are fully equipped with everything you might need: deodorant, razors, showers, hairdryers, lotion, etc. Everything feels really clean and thoughtfully maintained. The only small downside I've noticed is that some front desk staff can sometimes be a bit unhelpful, but there's always a way to find what I need. Overall, CAZ is a studio I genuinely love and recommend to anyone looking for a supportive, high-energy workout environment, even for beginners.

I signed up for a trial membership expecting a straightforward experience, but unfortunately, that…read morewasn't the case. After my first visit, I went to the front desk in person and clearly communicated that I did not want to continue with the membership. I did not attend any classes or use the facilities beyond that initial visit. I was later charged $99 for a membership and an additional $18 no-show fee. When I reached out, I was told that cancellation must be done via email and that a reminder email had been sent--but I never received any such communication (including checking spam). Despite explaining that I attempted to cancel in person and never used the services, I was told the charges stand and that I would need to pay an additional $39 just to cancel the membership. This experience felt frustrating and unfair. A process that requires email-only cancellation, without ensuring the customer actually receives notice, creates a situation where charges can occur without a fair opportunity to avoid them. I would strongly encourage others to be very cautious and ensure they understand the cancellation requirements in detail before signing up.

I've been to several studios in LA for fitness classes and matt Pilates and this was my second reformer class, first time in Newport. This location had a mix of all ages, they also have private training and have a small gym setup. The instructor Lauren was so friendly and sweet and her class kicked my butt. She continued to check on me throughout class because I mentioned I had a back injury I'm rehabbing. She also checked me in initially because their receptionist was not available. I'll be back to finish out my class pack!

Ever since I joined after BoxHaus merged with the brand, I've found my fitness studio home -- and here's why: From day one, Chris (the owner) impressed me. He isn't just someone who shows up -- he knows what he's doing. Between his boxing background, his deep understanding of strength & conditioning, and his commitment to proper movement, he's built a place where you can push your limits safely. When Chris cues form, fixes small technical things, or explains why a movement is prescribed, you feel the difference immediately. It's not just about sweating -- it's about learning and growing. The studio itself matches the people running it. It's clean, well-laid out, and the setup always feels intentional. Every time I walk in, the space is well maintained, gear is organized, flooring is solid, everything feels like it was thought through. I love that there's plenty of room, quality equipment, and a real focus on how the studio environment supports good workouts -- not just flashy stuff. What I've gotten from training here has been more than just strength or cardio. I've gained confidence in my movements, better awareness of my body, and motivation from everyone around me. The community here is solid -- people pushing themselves, but also cheering each other on. If you're looking for a gym that cares about functional training, where teaching and technique matter, and where you feel welcome every time you walk in -- Double Ops is it. Chris and the team have built something real. Highly recommend if you want more than just another fitness class; this place will change how you think about working out.

I'm active and fit and have tried a lot of different training programs over the years. What keeps me coming back to OrangeTheory is that it's truly built around well-rounded fitness. You get a smart balance of cardio, strength, and functional movements, which not only delivers results but also limits the risk of injury compared to many other high-intensity programs. The functional focus translates directly to real life. I move better, feel stronger, and perform better outside the studio. Because of my training at OrangeTheory, I've been well prepared for demanding events like Hyrox competitions, 5Ks, ultra hiking events and more. It's not just a workout you survive. It's training that actually carries over into how you live and move. Beyond the workouts themselves, this particular studio really stands out. The front desk staff and coaches are consistently welcoming, supportive, and professional. It's an environment that genuinely makes you want to come back, stay consistent, and keep progressing in your fitness journey. I'd strongly recommend anyone give it a try and commit to at least three classes so you can get the rhythm and understand the format. It has the potential to be a very positive and lasting change in your life.

For context, I don't have a sports background, but I do have strength training and powerlifting experience. I wanted to find something that would build real cardio capacity while still challenging me technically. When I decided to learn boxing, I searched everywhere for a place that wasn't just another "boxing-inspired workout" class. I wanted real coaching, not a group cardio session. That is exactly what Classic Boxing Coach offers. I was quick to become obsessed with boxing. If you're reading this, I encourage you to make the call. Chuck will be honest about whether the class is right for you. This isn't the kind of gym where you can just walk in and spar with whoever's around. The training is technical, and safety is a priority. You can't improve if you're getting hurt. Sparring and drills vary between technical and looser sessions, and because the groups are small, you get a lot of focused attention from the coaches. Chuck is also highly knowledgeable about diet and overall fitness. I attribute a lot of my physique progress to his advice. I weighed 234 lbs the day I walked in, and I'm now around 202 lbs and in the best shape of my life (I'm 6 ft tall). I've also worked with Coach Andrew for a few sessions, and he is great as well. Very challenging and good for conditioning. I haven't yet worked with Coach Morgan but have only heard great things. Whoever you end up training with, you'll get real coaching and a group of serious, respectful boxers who push you to get better. It is not cheap. But also, can you find A5 Wagyu at USDA Select prices? You get what you pay for. Here you get that and far more. tl;dr chunky guy walks in, lean mean fighter walks out. looked for cardio, found a new obsession and made cool friends.
