I've been trying out a few different lagree studios in search of a lagree home lol and this was one of my favorites! Marisa was a great, attentive, hands on and a thorough instructor with clear direction. No one goes unseen and gives modifications/ alternatives to each position to either challenge yourself more or make it a tad easier. Perfect for beginner and advanced! Studio is clean with dim to dark neon lighting. I had bright yellow socks but appeared pure true white in the studio. Not too harsh where it interfered with the workout. If anything it helps, it feels less sensory overwhelming. Cubbies are inside and in view of, which is great since the instructor also runs the front desk. Some studios have the cubbies outside next to the door unsupervised where anyone can walk in and grab items without anyone knowing. Mirrors are on one side only but still visible from the back. They have a filtered water machine to refill your bottle as well. There are drinks and socks available for purchase. Not to mention it's located in the most convenient plaza with a smoothie shop, a target, poke Hawaiian restaurant, organic foods restaurant, ramen, cafe rio etc. Lots of healthy options to choose from after a good workout!

There is no AC so it gets like warm Pilates- got me dripping in sweat! Lauren provided very clear instructions with options to modify or make it spicy. The moves were classic Pilates and had me SHAKING. Going down the stairs afterwards was tough. The music was soft and gave a nice vibe to the space. Body design has a water dispenser with cups and towels provided. There are also many mirrors in the space to check form and a balcony! I will absolutely be back.

It's located on the top floor of the Edwards, and seems like it's been there for quite a while. Location/view/reformers are nice and parking is free. I've been to several studios in LA for fitness classes and matt Pilates and this was my second reformer class, first time in Newport. This location had a mix of all ages, they also have private training and have a small gym setup. The instructor Lauren was so friendly and sweet and her class kicked my butt. She continued to check on me throughout class because I mentioned I had a back injury I'm rehabbing. She also checked me in initially because their receptionist was not available. I'll be back to finish out my class pack!

I'm active and fit and have tried a lot of different training programs over the years. What keeps me coming back to OrangeTheory is that it's truly built around well-rounded fitness. You get a smart balance of cardio, strength, and functional movements, which not only delivers results but also limits the risk of injury compared to many other high-intensity programs. The functional focus translates directly to real life. I move better, feel stronger, and perform better outside the studio. Because of my training at OrangeTheory, I've been well prepared for demanding events like Hyrox competitions, 5Ks, ultra hiking events and more. It's not just a workout you survive. It's training that actually carries over into how you live and move. Beyond the workouts themselves, this particular studio really stands out. The front desk staff and coaches are consistently welcoming, supportive, and professional. It's an environment that genuinely makes you want to come back, stay consistent, and keep progressing in your fitness journey. I'd strongly recommend anyone give it a try and commit to at least three classes so you can get the rhythm and understand the format. It has the potential to be a very positive and lasting change in your life.

This isn't my home studio but I cannot wait to go back. The showers are clean, the studio is pretty big (one of the biggest ones in OC) and bonus - it's located in Westcliff Plaza where Pandor bakery is lol. Get some carbs there after class and don't forget some protein from The Chicken Shop. You're welcome.

I've been training with Coach Chuck every week for about a year and a half now, and my only regret…read moreis not starting sooner. For context, I don't have a sports background, but I do have strength training and powerlifting experience. I wanted to find something that would build real cardio capacity while still challenging me technically. When I decided to learn boxing, I searched everywhere for a place that wasn't just another "boxing-inspired workout" class. I wanted real coaching, not a group cardio session. That is exactly what Classic Boxing Coach offers. I was quick to become obsessed with boxing. If you're reading this, I encourage you to make the call. Chuck will be honest about whether the class is right for you. This isn't the kind of gym where you can just walk in and spar with whoever's around. The training is technical, and safety is a priority. You can't improve if you're getting hurt. Sparring and drills vary between technical and looser sessions, and because the groups are small, you get a lot of focused attention from the coaches. Chuck is also highly knowledgeable about diet and overall fitness. I attribute a lot of my physique progress to his advice. I weighed 234 lbs the day I walked in, and I'm now around 202 lbs and in the best shape of my life (I'm 6 ft tall). I've also worked with Coach Andrew for a few sessions, and he is great as well. Very challenging and good for conditioning. I haven't yet worked with Coach Morgan but have only heard great things. Whoever you end up training with, you'll get real coaching and a group of serious, respectful boxers who push you to get better. It is not cheap. But also, can you find A5 Wagyu at USDA Select prices? You get what you pay for. Here you get that and far more. tl;dr chunky guy walks in, lean mean fighter walks out. looked for cardio, found a new obsession and made cool friends.
