I just joined last month & I absolutely love Double Ops! The classes are so lively and full of energy, they really get you pumped up for a great workout. The coaches are fantastic, super supportive and always there to push you to do your best. There's no judgment so if a workout is too hard you can just use a lighter weight, no weight or just an exercise you're comfortable with.  The facility is spotless (big win) and has a really nice vibe, which makes working out there even more enjoyable. The community is also amazing. Everyone is truly down to earth and supportive. I mean we're all out here looking for the same thing-- to get healthier, get fit and just have fun.  Definitely worth checking out. Not to mention I'm pretty sure my booty has gotten a little larger in just one month LOL.

My phone is always dead so I love that they have a ton of chargers

This review is long over due. I've been coming here for four months now and it has become my home away from home. I discovered double ops on class pass and became a member on my first session. I've tried different classes/gyms inconsistently for a couple years now and this is the only gym that I genuinely enjoy coming to. Coach Travis, Chris, & Nicolas are amazing and they always push me and help correct form when needed. This place you get results! I lost 4.7% body fat in 4 weeks without "dieting", I'm lifting a lot heavier than when I started, & my endurance has gone up. I feel confident in my skin and get compliments all the time from friends and family about how much better/healthier I'm looking..do yourself a favor and try a class out

Double Ops is a diamond in the rough in the Costa Mesa/ Newport area for a gym. I have tried most of the different gyms and I think Ops balance of HIIT and weight training is the perfect fit. I personally have had my sciatica (lower back issues) from either over lifting, moving too fast between exercises, or just plain having bad form and not knowing. Ops trainers are present and always watching to make sure you avoid injuries while pushing you when you need it. I have noticed my body transformation becoming what I want it to be very quickly though using Ops 3-4 times per week.

A Friend introduced me to this gym and now I'm hooked. It's such a Great community with awesome workouts. People here are very friendly and I always leave drenched and feeling so good. You definitely have to come and try it out! It's a must and you definitely won't regret coming in!

Trainers Travis & Chris were awesome , energetic and got the class pumped. Great music and workout routine. Def recommend.

Never broken so many PRs in one gym sesh, just a month after joining!

This place is a game changer!! I've been coming here for exactly ONE month today and I already casually broke all my PRs this weekend. When I first signed up for Chris' True Strength class (after the BoxHaus merge) I thought "yeah, I've been to HIIT studios before, I'll check it out" but let me tell you, this place is WIIIILD. You can tell they put a tooon of effort into planning the classes because the variety in exercises is amazing and I've never felt such a quick and massive improvement in my strength, balance, mood and honestly overall vibe before. Everyone is sooo nice and welcoming, no judgment or intimidation as a first timer. The place is super cute too, there's little details like messages in the mirrors, lockers, etc. to hype you up! And they have a bunch of class options outside of HIIT which is pretty cool. After that first class a month ago, I knew I found my new home at Double Ops!!!!

I absolutely love this gym. I've never been so dedicated to working out until I joined DOP. The upbeat energy I walk into everyday makes these challenging work outs enjoyable while getting guaranteed results. Between the different classes, awesome staff and recovery equipment it's definitely worth trying out!

I love this gym (attached is a photo of my brother and I during a workout). It's the most effective workout I've ever had while still ensuring proper form and functional movements and getting stronger. It's not a place trying to make you bulky (unless that's really a goal of yours) which is great as a female. Just lean, strong, and confident. I'm 14 months postpartum, and I joined 8 weeks ago with a lot of fat to lose. I've gotten stronger, leaner, and I have a lot more energy for my family and job. Every class is a challenge but I actually look forward to it - the coaches know your name, they check on your form, and everyone has fun with the music. I've tried a lot of gyms in the last decade, but this is the strongest and best I've felt in years (and that's after only a few months of working out following a year with a baby and eating poorly). The coaches actually take the time to show you what, how and why. The other members are actually nice and encourage each other. It's a place where you'll get pushed to do your best but not pushed overboard to injure yourself. Can't speak highly enough about their program design and the people Chris hire. Also they have this targeted cryo machine I use for 5-10 min after classes for my wrist (yay desk job) and it does miracles.

New March Work out for Mondays!

I love coming here! This is by far the easiest way to get into shape. Everyday there is a different challenge. This is a HIIT style workout with stations. Timed exercises with short rests in between. If you hate doing a certain exercise(s) that are beneficial to your body, guess what? You only have to do it for 60 seconds or even less! You can do it. Workouts are planned and are changed daily. Your body never gets stuck in a rut. I used to spin all the time and pretty soon it was like muscle memory. Don't let the descriptions scare you off. You do each exercise to your ability and eventually you get stronger and find you can do something longer, use heavier weights, and see a change in body composition. The staff are friendly and motivating. They provide technique for each exercise, corrections, fun workout music, and encouragement. The facility and equipment are clean and well maintained. Showers are available! Give it a try, it's a whole new way to have fun and get into amazing shape!

I've had great experiences with several trainers, but I have a soft spot for Eunice, who's incredibly warm, encouraging, and always makes you feel seen, no matter your fitness level. The locker rooms are fully equipped with everything you might need: deodorant, razors, showers, hairdryers, lotion, etc. Everything feels really clean and thoughtfully maintained. The only small downside I've noticed is that some front desk staff can sometimes be a bit unhelpful, but there's always a way to find what I need. Overall, CAZ is a studio I genuinely love and recommend to anyone looking for a supportive, high-energy workout environment, even for beginners.

After my first visit, I went to the front desk in person and clearly communicated that I did not want to continue with the membership. I did not attend any classes or use the facilities beyond that initial visit. I was later charged $99 for a membership and an additional $18 no-show fee. When I reached out, I was told that cancellation must be done via email and that a reminder email had been sent--but I never received any such communication (including checking spam). Despite explaining that I attempted to cancel in person and never used the services, I was told the charges stand and that I would need to pay an additional $39 just to cancel the membership. This experience felt frustrating and unfair. A process that requires email-only cancellation, without ensuring the customer actually receives notice, creates a situation where charges can occur without a fair opportunity to avoid them. I would strongly encourage others to be very cautious and ensure they understand the cancellation requirements in detail before signing up.

Exceptional community, ownership, and coaching…read more I usually don't write reviews, but when someone truly goes above and beyond, I feel it's important to acknowledge it. I recently wanted to bring a friend to her first Saturday workout at F45 Costa Mesa. I thought I had successfully booked us both, but later realized I was 5th on the waitlist and she was 3rd. She had a class pass but wasn't able to book on her own. Coach/Owner Bobby stepped in immediately and worked with me to make it happen. What really stood out was his communication and care. Coach Bobby kept me updated throughout the process, even replying to my email late at night with status updates. He never once mentioned fees or made it feel transactional--his goal was simply to get us both into class so we could work out together for the first time. And thanks to him, we did. It meant a lot to feel so valued as a member. Afterward, I reached out to thank him and offered to pay for the class, but he didn't charge me. Most importantly, my friend and I had an amazing time working out together. Beyond that experience, the coaching at F45 Costa Mesa is outstanding. Coach Bobby and all the coaches are attentive, supportive, and they challenge you because they know what you're capable of. One day, during class, I wasn't able to perform a jumping movement with weights due to back issues. After class, Coach Bobby took the time to check in with me personally, asked questions, and offered mobility and strengthening tips to help support my back and improve my performance safely. That level of genuine care, professionalism, and community is rare. F45 Costa Mesa isn't just a gym--it's a place where the coaches truly invest in you. I'm grateful to be a member here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a supportive and challenging fitness community.
