Scheduling the work was a little complicated for me due to all the other reno work I had already scheduled. Once you commit to a date with Dritek, please note that changing the date has a penalty clause. Dritek has a lot of customers and requires firm dates. After committing, Dritek did reminders and follow up. The crew was right on time and ready to work hard. 1.5 days of work hard! I monitored the crew both days they were here, and they were quite careful to make sure leveling was done correctly. The mess of uneven pavement and cracks transformed into a smooth driveway! Absolutely the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with, and I've been burned by…read morecontractors before. I don't even know where to begin. 1. He came out to my house, looked at the work and provided a great quote. We signed a contract, I sent him the deposit he required to start and we were good to go. 2. I purchased a storm door and he offered to pick it up, later on I find out he had a problem doing that. Day 1 he showed up to install a storm door, literally took him 9hrs just to install the door. He blamed the door for it taking so long saying the door was the wrong measurement. The instructions he was looking at literally said what size the door was and what size the frame should be. Not until after cutting up the door did he realize what happened. 3. Day 2 I had a media wall that needed to be skim coated and the lights to be replaced. Mind you on the day he provided the quote he looked at all of this and provided a quote to replace the lights and install the electrical for this. His electrician arrived, (great guy by the way) he did his work, installed brand new lights and made them hardwired so that I can now use them with switch. Great! 4. The next day he comes and slides in that he didn't know the work was going to be more so I have to pay $250 more for what the electrician did. Me I'm caught by surprise and I tell him Ok I don't like surprises and he says ok I'll work with you. He does his work and repairs the dry wall the electrician damaged while doing his thing. This is Thursday, he leaves and I don't hear from him until Monday morning. He doesn't tell me when he was planning to come back nothing. 5. Day 4 of work and he almost completes the media wall and I ask him to send me the invoice of how much I owe him once that is complete so I can pay him. He says cool, he leaves and next thing I get a message with a new invoice with the inflated new price. So I tell him we signed a contract for a reason, how are you just going to change the price on me? This man goes off on me and telling me do I know what other people charge for the work, and that I planned this all along. I'm so confused at this point like wtf. He then says he's done and he's coming for his lights he purchased for media wall and his tools. So I put his things outside because I'm a female and there's no telling what this irate man is about to do. 6. This man then calls me demanding I pay him for the work and starts threatening me, claiming he can put a lien on my house. Like how does a company not understand contract law. It's a because binding agreement, it's not my fault you under quoted the job and now u want me to pay. He then started saying he had to pick up my door and use his gas, like I didn't ask you, you offered. Now he's being petty throwing all the little things he did like he was doing me a favor. Like the reviewer said below he is very unprofessional and I would not recommend this man to anyone. How do you demand full payment from someone when u walked off the job and didn't complete the job. I sent him what I feel he was owed and hopefully I never have to deal with this guy ever in my life. Contracts are there for a reason, just like I can't add on work for you to do without amending a contract u can't change a price on me midway through a project without amending that said contract. The quoted price for the installation of a single door and transom was $600. The husband agreed and gave permission. We ordered the items that needed to be installed and waited 6 months for the delivery. When the product arrived, Corey was away but I convinced hubby to wait as I wanted to give the business to my 'countryman' - BIG MISTAKE! The agreement was that he would pick up the door from the store and install it at our home. At NO point did he provide an invoice but he appeared trustworthy so we let it go. On delivery day he arrived with the door and quoted $900 hundred to do the installation. We asked why the increase from $600, and he stated that it was 200(transom) and $600 (door). When we asked about the additional $100, he said that was for delivery of the door. We were shocked. Nowhere, no time did he mention either 200 for transom or 100 delivery. My husband drives a big enough truck to have picked it up ourselves if that was mentioned. Anyway to get this thing done and closed, hubby said go ahead. He asked for a deposit of $200, and hubby sent it and went back to his office to work. Cory then proceeded to tape off the doorways to begin the installation. After not hearing anything upstairs for a while, hubby came up to check and DUDE HAD LEFT! Our foyer was left in shambles.. Dirty plastic and tape atop my ALF Italia desk. Tape and paper all over the floor! Who does that? Hubby called twice, no response. He texted him to see what was going on.. Corey responded with " I left the job because you did not pay all my deposit" That was the WTH moment??? Hubby said I sent you the $200, dude said the deposit was $400... What, the what??? If you said 400 and were waiting, why not call down to the office, call up to the wife or just text me that I am waiting for something? Instead, you storm out and leave our home in disgrace. In fact, in late June a large oak tree fell and landed a direct hit on it. The railing was broken but the main deck stood firm. Phil and his crew repaired it, and after cleaning and resealing it looks like new. They may not be the cheapest, but IMHO they're the best in the business and are most highly recommend! Our neighbors are also impressed with the craftsmanship. They fenced in the area underneath the deck and added a door so that we can access it, but the dogs and children can be kept out. I highly recommend this company. They are incredibly easy to work with. I appreciate their work ethic and attention to detail.
