The day of the job communication was excellent before, during, and after the job. They took pictures before, during, and after the work was done which also gave me piece of mind. No wonder they are highly rated by the BBB and in Home Reports. I checked them out thoroughly. I actually got quotes from 8 companies before going with NorthSIDE Roofing. (Note of Caution: by mistake I called NorthRidge or it could have been NorthEdge Roofing. These are not the same. NorthRidge/NorthEdge actually never called me back.) I actually called all 3 main companies D*R*, F**(advertises a lot on radio), R*D*, as well as 2 other smaller companies (S*R* + R*R*) and 2 independents. Most were cheaper but I just didn't get the feeling that they were going to do a good job. With the largest roofing company around here, they immediately gave me a discount on the callback, whoa red flag for me. I felt like the 2 larger roofing companies were substituting volume vs quality workmanship. Anyways Northside is not the cheapest roofing company but you are getting quality workmanship, experience and superior materials. That's important when a roof is protecting your house and it's contents. Danny (co owner) nailed sample shingles up so I could decide what color would look best. Actually I had him move the shingles a second time to a sunnier spot so I could see the true color. Also they took pics of the work in progress for me. Flashings were good, lead pipe boots, drip edge is good, shingles lined up perfectly and nailed securely so they won't slide later on, ridge vents were good. Everything up to code. As well as replacing rotted boards on the roof, they repaired some rotted soffits facia boards, painted the new vents, chimney flashings, cleaned out my gutters, caulked the leaky end caps in the gutters, readjusted my gutters, covered the bushes grass and cleaned up every night. This company has been around for 30+yrs and their crew are longtime employees (not subcontractors like some of the other companies) so they have tight quality control and are experienced workers. Only downside is they don't have a large number of crews. As a result, they are busy and Danny comes later than when he says he'll be there. It's all good though because I know when he did come he spent a long time going over the roof and answering all my questions which is why he was probably late for his appts. Got a very good looking roof now. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for new roof replacement or repairs. Utmost confidence.

They went the extra mile on the skylight installation of a five panel custom skylight, installing the glass separately because the skylight was so large, then afterward making a handsome diverter to go above the skylight.
