Two types of tubes, make sure you grab the one with the "patch" if you want to go down all hills

We had the best time! All the staff were so great. We went on one of the Mondays that they were open and toward the end of the day. Got in and started around 3:30, they closed at 5 but we are both over 40 with no kids so that was plenty of time for us especially with it not being crowded at all. Definitely recommending this to everyone for something different to do.

We went yesterday and had a wonderful time. Good parking, the lines weren't long, friendly staff, snow was fresh and food options were quick and very reasonably priced.

This place made some improvement since last the time I was here. Things went a lot smoother on this trip, and the workers were fantastic. I'm not sure if it was early but there were no lines at all. I'm also glad they have a store there where you can purchase winter gear. I enjoyed it and will go back again.

Our VIP experience was fabulous. Jasmine was an excellent hostess. Jasmine took care of our group ranging in ages 8 - 78. We enjoyed all the lanes and rode many times. Lines moved quickly and we had a blast! The zip line was a blast! We had a great time. We enjoyed hot chocolate and s'mores. We had great service and worth every penny for all the fun we had. We made memories to last a lifetime!! Thanks Jasmine for such a great experience. It was a pleasure to meet you Jasmine and Harley!!

Okay so we actually stumbled upon this park. We were actually going to ski apache, when we seen the snow and the chutes. So we turned around and parked. For being spring break week on a Tuesday it wasn't too crowded. For us everything was pretty smooth. From purchasing tickets to getting tunes and the the lines moving pretty fast. I had read reviews and I wasn't planning on coming however because we stumbled upon this place we said "what the heck". Kids had fun and we the parents weren't passed off so all in all glad we came!!!!

Had an amazing time with my family at this place. Took the whole fam from ages 1,5,6,7 & 8.. I recommend those who want to try tubing to come to this place. They also had a small variety of food vendors to enjoy. Apparently there was a promotion this past Sunday, we were able to enjoy it the whole day.

I am the mother of a two year old so typically whatever keeps her happy and entertained I'm happy with. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with winter park even though my daughter had fun and I'm not the picky type. Here is just a couple of the negatives I noticed in our 1.5 hour stay: - We entered the park and it seemed like a cattle yard for people. The lines were extremely long (for tickets, food, slopes) with no organization to anything. If you are the type who hates large crowds or being closely confined by people, this place isn't for you. - Lack of seating to accommodate the amount of people. If you have an elderly family member or someone with a stroller or infant who wants to tag along, get there early to scope out your table or end up standing the entire time. - 1 bathroom for the ENTIRE park. I did not use the women's bathroom but my husband used the men's and there was 2 stalls and 3 urinals, for a park packed with people. - The kids Korral consisted of two kiddie slopes. One of the slopes did not work properly and kids would attempt to go down only to get stuck and completely stop about 20 feet from where they began, parents were slipping on the slick snow to walk down the slope to try and push their children further down. There was no actual play area for the smaller children. - The passes you purchase are for 3 hours, but who is enforcing these time tickets? The 3 hour passes were to I'm assuming help keep the park pretty cleared out and less packed but it didn't seem to help at all. - The lines for the slopes were extremely long. If you have smaller, impatient children this isn't for you. We waited for approximately 30 minutes the first time going up, the attendant at the conveyor belt didn't take my daughters height and did not say anything about her riding the slopes. We stood in line again a second time for approximately 1 hour FINALLY making it to the conveyor belt and the attendant kicked us off! Our daughter was too short. We explained she just went on with us prior and no one said anything, he didn't care. We waited for 1 HOUR. Our daughter had so much fun the first time she was heart broken when we were booted. - Lack of concern for the customers safety or well being. I understand you sign a liability waiver but damn! I watched a middle age women going up the conveyor belt about half way up sitting tumble over, she tumbled a good way down, feet over head when she finally landed on all fours. The woman was obviously injured and frazzled. I was in the kids Korral so I could not go to immediately help this woman up, but the staff turned off the conveyor belt and literally just stood there and waited for her to get up. Didn't try and move to help her whatsoever. There was a group of kids and teens behind her a ways that did not even offer a helping hand (shame on these children). This woman stayed on all fours for a hot minute trying to collect herself so she could stand back up at an angle and ride the belt up. She eventually got up and looked injured or at least sore trying to continue up. Some positives: - my two year old enjoyed the slopes - We had fun on our one ride down - since it is manufactured snow it wasn't freezing out All in all, If you are in Ruidoso and need something to do if there is snow on the group just enjoy the free fun and find a small slope yourself. It wasn't the worst experience, but with how much money they are making ($20 each adult) invest some of that money into expanding your park and making more slopes for smaller kids, adults and family slopes. We were disappointed in the end and won't be visiting again.

This place is a definite must. We went on a Monday so the lines were short we rode so many times we lost count. It was myself (39) a 6, 14, and 15 kids. Tom and the staff were awesome. I was worried as I have read really bad reviews. Honestly this place exceeded all expectations because all the kids enjoyed it. Especially the teenagers who tend to complain about everything.

Took the family to Ruidoso Winterpark yesterday. Had a great time! Even though there hasn't been any real snow lately, the park was covered in snow. We rented an Igloo which I highly recommend so everyone had a place to rest and regroup before hitting the tube runs again. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We got there right at opening and stayed all day until closing. My kids said it was the best vacation ever. At times the lines were long, but for the most part the wait was never to long. The tube chutes were all fun. We also did the zip line several times. We're thinking of going back again tomorrow at the end of the day. The discounted night rate starts at 4pm and the park closes at 5pm, but you pretty much have it all to yourself for an hour, so you can go on a lot of runs pretty quickly.

It is cheap for everything: quality, people, customer service, food, and prices. I guess you get what you pay for. Never again and do not suggest to nobody.

Slip hazard everywhere, poor customer service and the slopes are very slow and you stop half way down. Go to CLOUDCROFT, it is 100x better.

*BEWARE!!!!!! The GM…read moreKen Marlatt is letting this once great mountain with so much potential rot away. It seems he only wants to make money ripping off unsuspecting tourists and making it unaffordable for locals and even lots of tourist. Ski Apache price increase is unfair for the product they offer. I asked on social media a few times (Facebook) why the increase only to be blocked from viewing the page entirely. Seems very unfair/shady of them to do this for asking a simple question. I've never seen any other ski resorts block customers for asking questions like "why the price increase of $60-105 this season." *Some things for people to know before going* -Prices have gone up almost 100% up to $195 for peak days. It's $150-160 non peak days. Today Thursday 2/12/26 is $195 but last season this same Thursday before Presidents' Day was $90. -Thursday's are now considered weekend day pricing and no weekday pricing is options are available anymore. -Since 2020 they stopped operating Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (besides Christmas and Spring break week) which is greatly hurting all the local ski shops. If you can rent from the local shops and help them out they awesome staffing that care about you having a good day. -With this increase you would expect on mountain improvements but nothing has happened besides the "snow factory" machine that only makes snow for a small section of easy street. They also think they can use tarps like RUKA and LEVI in Finland do to solve the lack of snow/warm wet build temps when they can't make snow but don't have anywhere near the same snowmaking capacity like those resorts have. -Snowmaking from the summit/gondola including midway lift 2 is Inoperative and no plans to fix it for future lean snow years. They also haven't made snow off Capitan quad (chair 4) the last couple seasons so it seems that area is headed toward being INOP too. Basically snowmaking is limited to chair 3&5 only (the small beginner chairlifts) this is where they put the expensive operating Snow factory machine. -I'll also add Elk Ridge quad (chair 8) terrain has no snowmaking anymore but the whole area has been abandoned for over a decade including the Elk lodge with also no plans to reopen or fix the area. -Chairlifts don't seem to be properly maintained like seat cushion that are ripped on most chairs outside of 3&5 especially on Chair 2. -They are always short staff and GM Ken Marlatt stopped/wont allow an employee bus to operate to save money so less staff is showing up making operations a nightmare and chairlifts not being able to operate regularly. -staffing issues go into the lodge also like no bartenders sometimes (no bartender on 2/7/26) and bathrooms have most stall broken. Usually only 2-3 work out of 7. -The other bathrooms at the top of chair 6 Apache bowl and Moonshine Burger& Bar restrooms have been abandoned and are covered in rat droppings. -Under GM Ken Marlatt leadership staff doesn't seem safely properly trained especially with children on chairlifts (unfortunately a child lost their life this season Jan2026 due to this). -MTB trails haven't been raked/maintained since 2020 and just to ride the gondola for sightseeing cost $65. -Zero Terrain park features. No rails/boxes since 2019 and no jumps since 2020. The mountain is so beautiful and has so much potential. It's a shame to see what has now become of it since GM Ken Marlatt took over. They should look into someone else to run it before it's too late. MCP with James Coleman might make a good option. I'd recommend Cloudcroft, Sandia, Angel fire, Ski Santa Fe, Taos, Pajarito Mountain or Sipipu as other more reliable and safer options for NM skiing. If you would love to enjoy a Native American run ski area I would recommend looking in Sunrise Park Resort operated by the White Mountain Apache Tribe in Eastern Arizona. They have been making improvements to the mountain while offering fair lift ticket prices ranging from $25-$99. They will listen to any complaint especially on social media and try the best they can to improve on that. Maybe Ski Apache can learn from them instead of deleting/blocking anyone that criticizes their operations on social media. I've attached a photo of the bathroom at Moonshine Bar with RAT DROPPINGS! from this season 25/26. Apparently the bathroom at the top of Apache Bowl is a lot worse. This shows you what has become of the mountain under GM Ken Marlatt's leadership. Unfortunately due all this and now being blocked on social media (never seen a ski area block people on social media for asking why lift ticket prices increased dramatically this year) I won't spend any more money here and I'm a avid loyal skier here. I wish the best for them and hope they listen to this review as I would love to ski at SKI Apache and see it become the great mountain it use to be. Unfortunately it's just getting worse every year with GM Ken Marlatt's leadership.

This may not seem like a big deal, but I cannot process in my small brain why you would not tell the customer this information. If another patron had not mentioned this, we would have never known. Poor signage and poor communication. The guy doing are skis was helpful and nice. But the lady that threw away my rental paper at the ski boot rental was not helpful. Unfortunately the cons are all things that are advertised and this location failed at OR has advertised and never actually offered. These people seem very nice but will try smooth talk you while stabbing you in the back. Some of the most two-faced property owners I have ever met. Con- 1. Wifi did not work at all (very important to have when you are somewhere new, in the mountains, and can't figure how to get anywhere) 2. There was no TV in the room and when they brought one up, they expected my wife and I to set it up to their network and update it. 3. The Hottub, in out bathroom, did not work and had not been properly chem serviced or had its filter replaced, in quite some time. It was absolute chaos for the maintenance man that didn't know what he was doing to begin with. 4. We were there for a 1 night stay and maintenance was in our room for 4 hours trying to fix that damn hottub. 5. The room temp was in the 90's throughout the night and there was no temp control at all. Even with the windows open... IN DECEMBER... wasn't enough to bring the temp down. Despite the room being so hot, the bathroom stayed in the 50's throughout the night due to the hottub chilling the surrounding air. 6. Our room was connected to the main section of the house so you can hear everything that goes on in the building at all hours. We could hear the owners conversation on the floor below us! 7. No advertised Spa treatments 8. If you have any issues, the owners WILL screen your calls and will refuse to answer. 9. The owner "offered" us a free night in the larger cabin, which he has now revoked. 10. Owner will talk about offering you a refund but it will never actually occur. We got home and Travelocity told us he had refused a partial refund that there was nothing they can do. Pro- 1. Wild Horses that roam the grounds in the mornings. 2. Breakfast served in the shared kitchen If you want to be miserable and lose your hard earned money, stay at this hell-hole. Hope this helps someone have a better stay in Ruidoso than we did.
