Too dangerous to mow safely because of the rocks & gravel in the yard along with the aforementioned sod. Not to mention the curb appeal. It wasn't a busy winter for plowing either. Only needed them a couple of times but it only took a couple storms for them to destroy the yard & driveway. I wouldn't recommend them if they were the only place in town.

Because we were about 2 doors down from the worksite we were around a lot. I have to say everyone on the crew was a pleasure to be around. Because this level of project is new to us I think I was pretty anxious a lot of the time but Erich was always helpful and easy to get along with. I feel very lucky to have been able to hire them. The idea that the materials are being reused, the savings over straight demolition and the potential tax savings are really the icing on the cake to what was a great experience overall. Deconstruction Works also did some side work not originally contracted such as cleaning up the place. The work was done at a very fair rate and the project was finished ahead of schedule and on budget. This may sound weird but I will actually miss the Deconstruction Works crew. They essentially charged $ 200 and used my well to try and refill my septic since the previous owners had it pumped out. They couldn't even do that though since my well was running out of water to fill the tank! Two guys stood outside in my lawn watching my septic tank fill up and told me when they left they thought it was leaking. Well guess what fellas, it's 2024 and the thing ain't leaking! Saved myself 12 grand. A good septic company should bring a truck to fill the tank with a dye and then inspect the lawn to see if the dyed water is seeping out. Then pump out the tank the next day. Septic-pro sells tanks so be aware to hire a company that doesn't have ulterior motives for performing septic inspections. My realtor contracted them, otherwise I wouldn't have called them. The only reason they get two stars is because the snaking camera was useful information, otherwise it would be a one. When I do upgrade my septic I won't be calling them.

We put up with it once but not twice: * Carpet was left filthy. Dog hair and grime left on the carpet. Lots of it. * We pay the minimum "3 room" rate ($125). Normally they make up for this by also cleaning our couch and easy chair - usually takes the guy 5 extra minutes. * Cleaning guy refused to do the couch, even though he was in and ready to leave after cleaning the one room in 15 minutes. He said, "I have other places to clean and I'm running behind" * When we showed him the dirt we were able to scoop off the carpet, he said "if you're not happy, just take it up with my manager about making it right" and took off. * We called the manager, mentioned the still-dirty carpet and the couch not getting done. He said, if you want the carpet cleaned again it's $125. * We said, we just had it cleaned today, and it's not clean. Will you make it right? He answered, if you're not happy with us, call another cleaner, and hung up. I guess, sadly, avoid these guys, they have lost their integrity.
