He has recommended psychiatrists and counselors for me in the BCS area that are LGBT+ friendly (this must stem from his adoption of many different children transitioning through adolescence). Also, when I saw him with a sinus infection, he was quick enough to diagnose me accurately within 15 minutes. I cannot recommend this man enough! The nurses are friendly and youthful as well.

I saw Dr. Bondalapati for maybe 10 minutes and left sobbing. With my particular situation, I was prepared for her to say no to refilling some of my controlled substances. However, she went above and beyond. Instead of just telling me no, saying that she personally didn't feel comfortable writing the scripts...she went as far as to say that NOBODY would be able to help me....can we just let that sink in, this ruined my mental state entirely. She told a person who has suicidal tendencies that NOBODY WOULD HELP THEM. THAT IS MONSTROUS. THAT IS DANGEROUS. THAT IS APPALLING. She is supposed to be a caregiver and a healer, and that is the complete opposite type of behavior. I even filled out a "questionnaire" MOMENTS before seeing her (which she clearly did not look at) in which I rated my levels of depression and anxiety. Suicidal and harmful thoughts were definitely circled on that paper. Again, I was mentally prepared to get shot down when I asked for controlled substances, that would not have ruined my entire day. Instead, this woman went out of her way to tell me, while I'm in tears, that my situation was practically hopeless and oh also..permanent. I am truly hurt and outraged by this. It has taken me 4 months to get up the courage and motivation to even make the fucking appointment (shout out to depression and anxiety), all the while having little subconscious thoughts telling me that nobody cared and the appointment would be a waste of time....typically those subconscious thoughts are not the truth. Guess that I was actually right in this case. If you have the desire to be a doctor who works in any field related to mental health, please for the love of all things holy have some FUCKING EMPATHY. I am disgusted by the lack of good judgement this woman had in this particular situation. Judge all you want when it comes to my medical record on paper, but treat me like a sensitive fucking human who is struggling deeply with their mental health. My God. The Audacity.

I arrived at 7:50 and texted the number my name and car (it did respond with "we are closed") BUT not even 5 minutes later, a lady came out to greet us and bring us in, got my weight done.. taken straight back to a room within 5-10 minutes I was seen by Catherine (who is great) then immediately taken back to do blood.
