I was referred by my PCP to rule out any ENT issues related to sleep apnea today. Street parking is difficult but I landed a 1 hr time limit meter space.
When I walked in (on time), the receptionist was extremely distracted with her fast food and magazine. The waiting room was packed. I was handed the intake forms and told to go fill them out and bring them back with my insurance ID. At least seven other patients were waiting when I arrived. I turned in my forms and ID, after waiting twenty seconds for the receptionist to lift her head out of her magazine, sucking the ketchsup off her fingers, to take the clipboard and tell me to have a seat.
Another ten minutes passed, one patient got called in and three others had arrived. I asked how long the wait was. Another woman responded "at least an hour."
"I can't wait an hour, is it always this bad?"
"It's ALWAYS this long."
"That's unacceptable, the meters outside are only an hour."
Waste of my time, I'm a full-time single father, I have limited time as it is, and this is no way to run a business. read more
