Our waiter lit the metal plate and cooked the food. At times, some food cooked a bit too much, so we just turned the heat low, because our waiter had to help others and we don't like burnt items. I liked Iron Age, because the meat portions were generous and deeply marinated--there was lemon chicken, bulgogi, steak, squid. We had many sauces to dip the meat. So much good flavor! I also appreciate having steamed egg, tons of banchan (Kim chi, corn, radish, marinated onions), grilled veggies. I had lots of fun, and you can order beverages and alcoholic drinks but they are extra. I would definitely go back.

But I prefer Peking BBQ over CL for the following reasons: - More accessible. It's in Woodside, a lot closer than Bayside. - Smaller operation with shorter wait: 20-25 minutes vs. 1-1.5 hours. - More choices of sides: you can get pork fried rice, lo mein, even sweet and sour dishes. Another one on my list in the area is Caravan Chicken. Hopefully, I get to try and review it next time I am in town to reach the final verdict.

Overall the ribs were really dry and overcooked, perhaps from being in the warmer a little bit longer than expected. They were also really skinny ribs with not a whole lot of meat.
