I was given a present of a Armoire that was purchased from AFD. It has defects (cracks top front…read morecorner), not far from the upper door hinge. I did not complain or contact anyone to voice my complaint, since it was a gift. The Comeaux family who owns and operates AFD can't be blamed for it. It must've happened during transportation and went unnoticed. I don't know what it sold for but I got it for free and delivered. I use it regularly and appreciate the gift. Maybe it was discounted and you don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I know the Comeaux's and they're good Christians and very honest people. I know they'd extend a hand to me if I asked them to. Most people only use online sites to complain but in this case I have no complaints with AFD. Disclaimer: I'm not related to the Comeaux's or had any contact with them. It's totally unsolicited!

I knew she was slowly transitioning out of Etsy and into her own marketplace, and more local places like this, so when I came into town I thought I'd stop here and see all of the hullabaloo. Okay, maybe saying hullabaloo makes it sound like more than it actually was, but I was quite excited to stop here and pick up some new jewelry. As I walked in, it was reminiscent of many artists markets. Little stall-like features from different service providers with so many cute and artistic items that you could quickly see your next three paychecks being spent before you walked back out the door. I did find the artist I was looking for, and I was able to get a new pair of earrings, as I had hoped. I also found some amazingly cute little dishtowels to celebrate the carnival season, and some clearance holiday ornaments left over from the season before. This place has such an eclectic mix of artists and artistry that I'm not sure I could really pinpoint why you should stop here. However, you should, and I'm sure that whatever home décor- personal accessory - tchotchke - child's play thing that you are looking for will be there, and that you or your recipient will be happy to take it home!

They do, however have a decent selection of sheets but you kind of have to pick around, it's not like a big department store where they have a ton of sheets in every imaginable color. You know what though, that's something I like about home goods, it's almost like mining for gold. You might hit the jackpot and find the perfect thing at a great price or up may strike out and leave empty handed. One thing I have to agree with from Morgan F's review is that you need a decent chunk of time to adequately see everything in this store. It's a fairly large store but I found everything to be organized and it was easy to navigate between different sections. Something big for me was that they have the most amazing pillow selection. I've been trying to find some for my couch for ages but I'm picky. They have to be durable and have removable washable covers because I have two large dogs. I have written reviews for several TJ Maxx locations (and some updates) but none have had anywheres near the selection they had here. They also have a great selection of candles, I definitely recommend checking this location out next time you are on the north shore.
