Just a verbal assurance that it was all handled. Disorganized about our arrival details even though we had put them succinctly in writing. They were apologetic when they told us nothing like this had ever happened before and they were embarrassed, etc but there was no suggestion or offer of sending another driver or providing a solution. When we texted that we still had not heard from the driver and we tried to call, we were unable to reach anyone for several minutes. So, we were left to deal with the situation on our own. I guess the silver lining was that it was our first service at the airport where there are options abound. Had this been our pick up going back to the airport things could have been MUCH worse. Michael, the owner, was charming and reassuring to talk with on the phone initially but utterly failed us.

I thought that story sounded a little strange considering it was a school day, but I accepted a limo van as an alternative. The owner indicated that the limo van would be a free upgrade from the scheduled stretch SUV. When the van arrived, I was very disappointed. It was a very poorly painted old activity bus with bench seating and LED lights in the interior. It was not even close to what any reasonable person would consider a limousine. My calls and texts requesting a discussion about my dissatisfaction were ignored - I mean not even acknowledged. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and gross disrespect of a paying customer. I was even more surprised that any limousine company that considers itself to be reputable would include such a vehicle in their fleet. Never again with A Formal Affair.

Right after the call, I sent him a detailed text advising the hours I would need their service and received no response. The week of our service I received a call from someone in his office. I told her the times we needed the service and she said that was fine. At 3:30 pm the day before we scheduled his service I received a call from the owner during which he told me I would have to pay for an entire eight hours even though I did not need the service for that long and I had been trying to communicate this two and a half weeks prior. The owner argued and argued with me and kept me on the phone for an unnecessary amount of time. I would recommend you choose someone else for your transportation needs. I definitely will.

I found Fred online, and through a very easy phone call, we scheduled the pick up it was very helpful that I could pay directly online through PayPal. When I landed in Greensboro, I had a text message that he wasn't feeling well, and that Shahpour was going to pick us up instead. I was still a little worried but right before baggage claim, we saw him with a sign with my name on it. He immediately offered to help get the suitcases, and then go get the car. Shahpour was great. Not only was he very helpful, but also the car was great and very clean. The ride was great and we had a nice conversation. Also the fare was really good! Which makes it even better. I am so happy I found them because now I have a reliable way of getting from Greensboro to Winston Salem and I don't have to lose sleep over that anymore.
