While in the store there were no customers and six employees were all just chatting it up around the registers. No one said hello...or acknowledged me. I walked around the store looking at all the jeans and looking specifically for a darker wash denim but no one offered to help. I walked close enough to the registers intentionally to make them uncomfortable and someone to acknowledge me but no such luck. Finally as I was leaving someone looked up and said hi...I laughed at her and left...Needless to say went to Anthropology and had an awesome clerk help me . Bought both a denim skirt and jeans.

I've always had a hard time finding ones that fit me and make me feel comfortable, but the associate that helped me that day was so patient and kind, even when I kept asking for additional sizes and styles to try on. Even though I didn't buy any that day, she let me know additional sizes and styles were available online to order in case I wanted to order some and try them on at home. During my most recent trip, I lost my car keys and went frantically searching through the mall to try to find them. An associate was able to find them and went out into the mall to help get them back to me. Thanks so much to Emma B and the associates in store that night that saved me from a complete panic!! :)

It was delivered by UPS to some guy named Flakes in a location called Dock. No dock at my Denver home and nobody named Flakes. After calls to UPS, USPS and Crew, turns out that my package was delivered to the post office dock. Nobody was very helpful at any of these locations. Turns out that J Crew, to save money, uses UPS to get packages to the area, then leaves it all for USPS to deliver. Strikes me as a really stupid process that adds days to the process. My stuff is in Denver but I can't get it until the post office delivers it. Should be a couple of days before it arrives. Stupid, stupid, stupid adding an extra step to the process. Just adding that I got another email just now saying that the package had been delivered. Still waiting for it

Castle Rock Outlets are amazing!…read more I didn't realize there were so many outlets here, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the Ann Taylor outlets here. Just my luck that this weekend was 40% off the entire store. This makes for some great deals on already reduced items with the additional reduction at the register. Always make sure to check out the clearance section as you can find great pieces for under $10 which is a steal at Ann Taylor. Shopping relaxes me - I would make this drive every weekend for shopping like this.

If coming closer to closing just be weary or pre-paired for energy levels to be different. Which again totally get!! I tried on a few items and made sure to be respectful by tying ties and buttoning buttons so everything would be easier for the associates to put away. I had grabbed a pair of pants from the Staff Picks rack right by the fitting room I was in, and after trying them on, I came out and tried to put them back where I had found them. Around 7:50 PM, an associate near the fitting rooms sternly told me, "Can you please not put them there?" and "That's not where they belong." As I was hanging the pants where I pulled them from. Totally fine if they needed to go somewhere else, but the tone felt unnecessarily harsh. I apologized and explained that I was just trying to be helpful and that I had taken the pants directly from that rack. It honestly made me a little sad and kind of killed the rest of my shopping mood. I'm happy I found the pants I came for, and they do have a really wide selection! I'm visiting from Portland, Oregon, so maybe I'm just used to a different customer-service style, but I wish the interaction had been a little kinder.

Disappointing Client Treatment…read more Despite investing well over $15K at A Line Boutique, I was told I did not qualify as a "VIP client" and therefore was not eligible for a wardrobe edit. The criteria for client recognition felt opaque and, frankly, arbitrary--an uncomfortable experience in a luxury retail setting. Beautiful merchandise, but the customer experience did not align with the level of discretion and respect one expects. Not to mention I have often been 'sold' items that are not the best for my body type.
