After my last visit, I don't think I'll ever be back. Now that we have a different option in town,…read moreI no longer need to suffer through the attitudes and rudeness of the employees, especially one in particular. I've been sick for several days. I finally felt well enough to go to the store. I went to Dollar General to hopefully get some lettuce. Of course, they were out, but I decided to grab what I needed anyway. By the time I got everything to the register, I was starting to feel dizzy, so I hurried up, paid, and got out the door. The employee who checked me out didn't say much to me, which was fine because I wasn't in the mood. I get home and my bank sent an alert to my phone. Imagine my surprise when it said I spent over $80 at Dollar General! I checked my receipt, and my 4 bottles of water rang up at $12 a piece! Huge mistake. So, I went back up there. Of course, I had to deal with the rudest employee ever. Just my luck. I went to his register and showed my receipt. He immediately copped and attitude with me. I showed him the water rang up at $12 a piece, supposed to be $1. At first, he said there was nothing he could do. Then he started doing stuff on the register and said he could refund me $39. I tried to explain that still wasn't right as that would put tax on $4 at almost $4 (100% tax rate). He sighed and shouted at me, "well fine ill just refund the whole thing!!" Once he got that done, I said I still needed the water, here is another sigh, then he price changed it so I could buy it again. He made this way more difficult than it had to be, and he was sighing, rolling his eyes, and even laughed at my lack of voice. He literally drove me to tears. Most of the people I've talked to have had problems with this man. Needless to say, I won't go back. There was no excuse for that at all, and I won't subject myself to his abuse anymore.

I'm thankful to have this store in our small town. It's always decently clean, and I am usually…read morealways able to find what I came for. Employees are always nice and always greet me. Everything is always stocked, and the self checkout makes things so much easier when I'm in a rush. I would have given 5 stars if they still enforced masks. They recently quit requiring them, which makes me feel unsafe. However employees always wear them, and hand sanitizer is always available.

One of the cleanest Walmarts I've entered in my journey by car between California and Oklahoma, and…read morethe location directly off I-40 made the store easy to find. The shelves appeared well stocked, and the employees were friendly. One stood inside the grocery entrance disinfecting buggies for customers to shop. Probably the only drawback I observed: Few registers were open.

So, I have a love/rate relationship with this Walmart. True, this is the only Walmart in the area,…read moreand this is the one place on town that consistently has a selection of certain types of food. However, this location never has enough checkers. The self checkout is great though, because there is enough space and systems to get people completed quickly. It's pretty hit or miss how the staff will be. They treat you like a criminal at the door leaving: they check your receipt. Depending on how you look, they go above and beyond and will even go through your bags versus just checking the large items. If you can't use self checkout, make sure you don't take the checker's word on your amount of bags. Twice now, I was told I didn't have another bag and found several items were left at the store (and calling doesn't do any good to recover the paid-for items). They seem to always be stocking. Even before the COVID crap. Sometimes it is quite a pain to get down the aisles. Generally though, the stockers are super friendly and will help you navigate around them. This location is what it is. I don't expect much from Walmart anyway, but this location has the bar set even lower.
