My wife's car battery died unexpectedly and when I brought it in, Don didn't give me the runaround or try to sell me something I didn't need. It's a family-run shop with people who are straightforward, fair, and genuinely trying to help their customers. If you're looking for a trustworthy mechanic in the area, Don's Auto is the place to go.

We first went to Midas, where they claimed the rear brake pads and rotors both needed to be replaced. I didn't completely trust their diagnosis, so we went to Mid City Tire and Auto for a second opinion. The team at Mid City was honest and told us that while we did need new rear brake pads, there was absolutely no need to replace the rotors. We had them replace the rear brakes and got our safety inspection tag. On top of that, they actually found that one of the rear tires was completely screwed up from a previous car accident and desperately needed to be replaced--something Midas completely missed. Highly recommend Mid City for their honesty and thorough work!

This is my third visit to Ken's Automotive…read more I brought my car back to Ken's for an oil change and made a separate appointment for brakes. I was shocked by the price of an oil change (it was higher than Jiffy Lube and Midas) but the price for brakes was less than what I have paid in the past at other auto shops. I'm still in sticker shock of the oil change but the upside is that I'm a 5K mile change instead of a 3K mile change due to the limited driving (car is 11 years old with 93K miles). I have an appointment to replace my car brakes which barely based the annual inspection so at the time of this review, my car is with the shop awaiting for repairs.

Tony Marino deserves a Fat Gold Star as far as I am concerned…read more I live in fear and dread of car repairs...you see, I drive an older car (1999 Toyota Camry) and any occasion to see a mechanic is an occasion on which I MAY have to spend a lot of money. So, when my check engine light came on a while back, I knew that getting the car inspected was going to be a bit nerve wracking for me. So, I finally dropped the car off for the oft put off inspection, and today I needed to go pick it up. I had purposely not called Marino's because i didn't want to hear what he would tell me. Then today, I waited as long as I possibly could before going to pick up the car. No problem...just like that - There were no surprises - no little things that had to be done to get the car to pass inspection - This isn't my usual experience with a mechanic.
