I used to like this nursery...healthy plants, large selection. I'm a firm believer in giving my business to a small, local business instead of a big box store. Over the years I've spent hundreds of dollars here.
I recently got beetles in my garden. I never had them before - I went to Galley's and picked up what I though I needed: bags and bait. The cashier was t very knowledgeable but told me that was probably everything I needed. I spent $11.00 plus tax...granted, not a lot of money.
When I got home and opened the packages, I realized that you need another part, something that keeps the bag open and to hang it from. I made another trip back to Galley to buy the additional item. The woman the took care of me was helpful in trying to figure it out, when she realized that the item was not on the shelves, I asked for a refund. She told me that their policy was no refunds because of COVID. She called Tim (Manager? Owner?) and asked him to come up front. He couldn't be bothered, just said they don't carry the additional item and definitely no refund. I now have 2 items that are useless to me. If you refunded my money, or even gave me a store credit, I likely would have bought something else, and would have stayed a customer. (No returns due to COVID is nonsense - most places are taking returns now).
I went down Transit Rd. To Seneca Greenhouse and got an entire kit: lure, lure holder, bags for only $8.99. Go there instead of Galley (or go to any one of a number of greenhouses in the area)maybe you'll get better customer service than Galley provided to me.
By the way, once I got in my car and tried to call Galley directly, it was a constant busy signal like the phone was off the hook. I wanted to speak to Tim directly but instead I'm posting this review. read more
