This was a spontaneous find at the Pearl Market today. Incredible little shop pack full of every stone or gem you could want with an amazing selection of jewelry upstairs. Owned by a gemologists it prides itself on top quality and rare selections you might not find in your typical rock shop and within every budget. The 3 female staff assistants were extremely helpful and incredibly knowledgeable on just about every stone or gem, even knowing some very interesting history or folklore about many stones. I've been into Ruby Road a few times now, but this last adventure was particularly impressive! The store, my favorite places for crystals in the city, has a great atmosphere as you immediately feel the calm upon entering. The selection is vast, and if you feel so inclined, ask a staff member to take you upstairs to look at some vintage pieces you're sure to not find anywhere else. Prices vary of course by piece but you can go in with a $2 budget just as easily as a $1,000 budget and there will still be something for you. Why I wanted to write this review was about one employee in particular - I regret I did not get her name, but she had pink/blonde hair and glasses. This woman belongs in a museum! Her story telling skills are incredible and was able to put a meaning behind each and every stone, I could have listened to her talk all day. I very much hope this review will make its way back to her! To the guy below who seems quite up in arms about the business as a whole....its just rocks man. If one makes you happy honestly who cares how it's labeled or what it is. I don't think it's the end of the world. I certainly will be returning next time I get an itch! read more

This shop is literally a hidden gem, no pun intended : D From the Newell parking lot headed to the Pearl, the small shops are located on the side of a building and are easy to miss. Initially we had walked into the gemstone shop, located right next to Ruby and btw they are both owned by the same owner. When we entered Ruby, we received a lovely welcome by Savannah (owner/manager/certified gemologist) and her daughter Heidi. Love a mother/daughter team and especially a woman owned business! The shop is beautifully decorated and the gemstone jewelry is gorgeous. They offer something for everyone. I ended up purchasing a lovely rose candle, which contained two of my fave gemstones. Savannah travels all over to obtain the best gemstones and is very knowledgeable, as well as her employees. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Both shops are well stocked. I will not retype this so I am copying it from my Google review. While appearances can be deceiving, this business is run by extremely ignorant individuals who consistently put items out for sale without any proper research into it, who then become defensive when their mistakes are pointed out. They trust their suppliers without question and this has led to several items being mislabeled. They have Arfvedsonite being sold as Astrophyllite, Tourmalinated quartz being sold as Rutilated quartz, Hematoid quartzes being mislabeled as Garden quartz, as well as pieces of jewelry being called the wrong name. Even a ring bought for me here that was listed as 10k gold was simply a silver ring plated with gold in disguise. This then brings the pricing of items into question, especially when said items have tarnishing or other damage that not even the staff on site have apparently noticed. I have repeatedly attempted to address this concern with the owners, only to be given the evidence and responses that they couldn't care less as long as they can continue to exploit their customers and employees. It's clear if you pay attention that there's a revolving door of employees constantly being cycled out, which should give pause to anyone. The owners only care about making a profit, and by proxy are contributing to people's distrust of crystal/gem therapy. They have since tried to silence me for addressing how they're overlooking an important detail about running this kind of business, and would prefer you all did not know about their shady dealings. Do not shop here, as it's clear the "we care about the ethical nature of our products" is a complete farce meant to draw in business. You can find much nicer quality items online anywhere else, especially from sources that care about their customers more than their profits. They may try to respond to this in the most stereotypical fashion of denying and gaslighting and even playing victim, and may even try to sue me for attempting to correct a mistake they've been making and apparently aware of despite seemingly being unaware. My statements of their business will crumble is due to the fact they're deceiving customers just for a profit, which is UNETHICAL and counter to what their business supposedly promotes. Lying for a profit is a serious red flag, and a refusal towards willing inquisitiveness regarding customers' valid concerns is an even bigger red flag. Again, do not shop here. Your money and meager wealth are better spent directly helping your community and yourself, rather than giving it to these charlatans. And if you really need gemstones/crystals, as they've told me before in response to my concerns, go look at other shops in town because there are plenty. Do not give these clowns your money. Any response from them to this comment is them covering their rear, nothing else. read more

Last Friday we went to eat in The Pearl area and stumbled upon this CUTE and completely aesthetically pleasing jewel/jewelry/tarot reading shop! I immediately needed to check it out because my daughter is really big into crystals. I was blown away by how many extremely adorable pieces of jewelry pieces they have and they incorporate the jewels and crystals in them to make really stunning every day pieces and much much more! I cannot recommend this shop enough especially if you are looking for something unique, healing, and beautiful to by yourself, your partner, friend, or family member! There were so many crystals available in all kinds of novelty shapes (crescent moons, elephants, goddess busts, serpents, mini yodas, etc).
