The embossed wooden sign above the entrance instantly gives Atlantis a fresh, modern look and once inside, it feels more mid-range restaurant than high street takeaway, with walls lined with decorative pebbles, pictures of freshly caught fish all round and a giant, four-piece picture of a British seaside town somewhere. Oh, and that's just the waiting area. Delve deeper into the store and the nautical theme continues with a very attractive indoor seating area, made up of inviting wooden booths, decorative brick-work, old-fashioned clocks and framed pictures of boats, fishermen and allsorts. The interior of this place is truly stunning when you consider its merely a local chippy, but unfortunately, the food isn't quite as catch-of-the-day fresh as you might hope. Open in 2010. I have to say that the size of the queue in the place indicated me it would be a good experience. Atlantis is also a Chip shop to eat in. There are tables and a nice vibe inside. it's a big place, in fact. I may go back there in some point and try the experience of eat inside a Fish and Chip shop. Unusual, I guess. The service is quick and really nice. We spent less than 10 minutes waiting to be served and there were about 15 people in front of us. No joke. I love the cod. I have to say. But the chips itself were a bit dry. It's a good sign, if you think about your health. Not soggy but just dry. Not the best but yet a good Fish n' chips experience and I do recommend it in the area.

George's Best manages that rare feat of serving chips which taste as good as that familiar paper and vinegar smell which has been driving Brits daft across centuries.
