Steak taco dinner with an extra steak taco!

Been my go to Mexican food place since the day they opened! Every time, food is great! Ask for something special, they do it!!

You cannot find a place that serves bigger burritos in extremely quick time with a friendly greeting anywhere. This place was recommended to me by a class instructor and wow, were they right. I was greeted as I stepped in the door. This place should teach customer service to other restaurants. The menu is easy to read with the usual Mexican cuisine as well as daily specials. I came here twice during the week and tried both the chicken tacos as well as a chicken burrito. By the time I got my fountain drink and sat down, the food was delivered! Shocking just how quickly it came out! There was also a basket of chips, salsa, hot sauce, and a bowl of peppers delivered with the meal. The burrito was huge and came with rice and refried beans. Absolutely incredible tasting! Well done to this restaurant owner and it's employees!

Ordered 2 giant breakfast burrito 2 water bottles and a stack of pancakes for $37 sort of pricy but overall a lot of good food and the environment is very authentic and welcoming the gentleman was very attentive felt like family. A la Mexicana burrito with added steak was very packed with hash browns green pepper onions steak and cheese the portion was very overwhelming but satisfying would consider returning for the baby burritos Pancakes were really big and came in an order of 3 Will be back soon!!!!(:

Sorry but I was sooooo super disappointed that they served me Rice-a-Roni from the box. I couldn't even touch it .

I have never been disappointed with any food I have been ordering from Ruby Burritos over the many years. Friendly, professional, and reasonable prices. I ordered a taco salad today for the 1 st time. It beats a taco place(no name mentioned) by a mile.

Hot and not so hot salsa with hot pickled carrots.

I have a habit of getting off the 4 lane highway and driveing the back roads and that was the case last Saturday. I was on my way to a photo shoot and Ruby's Burritos and Crepes sign caught my eye. So it was a quick turn into a small strip mall to check out this diner in the one corner of the strip. How can you not checkout a place that is advertising Burritos and Crepes. It was about 9:30am and the diner was about 1/2 full with locals. I think I was the only person in the joint that didn't know someone at a near by table. The coffee was hot and quickly delivered which I needed to get my motor going on this wonderful late winter morning. I ordered the Chilaquiles breakfast special plate. It was served quickly and came with what I can only imagine was home made green and red salsa along with some hot pickled veggies. All were very tasty and really hit the spot. Yeah, yeah I know I came in for either a burrito or crepes and ended up with the Chilaquiles. I enjoyed my breakfast and next time I will take the leap to Crepes. All and all I would say Ruby's was a nice little surprise and am glad I had left I-80 and took to the back roads of Illinois.

Girlfriend and I went here on Sunday for dinner and we loved it. Chips and salsa were great. Be careful the red salsa is hot, but great. They'll even warn you beforehand. We both got burritos. She got the shredded chicken (which was fantastic) and I got the steak (which was pretty good). We were both impressed with Ruby's. Make sure you ask for some Valentina hot sauce- major key. Horchata is also good, plus it's free refills. Dining area was decent, we spent over an hour there and we were comfortable. We'll def be coming back soon. Romeoville is full of Mexican restaurants and Ruby's is the best I've had so far. Also don't listen to the review below. I'm black and they def weren't racist. I had a 5 minute conversation with the owner. Very nice guy. Enjoy!

It was pretty good but they make you pay for the chips and salsa. I have never seen this before in all the burrito places I've been.

The bus boy poured the leftover salsa from peoples tables back in to the big batch of salsa. I saw it with my own eyes.

Definitely the best burrito I've found in the area. I haven't tried the other menu items because the burrito is hard to pass up.

Order out a few time but first time eating at the establishment. Very good food , had the taco…read moresalad and was what I expected. The service was on spot and the ambiance was very pleasant. Will dine in again very soon. Oh... the most important- the prices were very reasonable compared to others in the area.

FUNDIDO FOR YOU & ME…read more Melty cheese is always a hit, and Burritos Mi Tierra does it better than most. In picking our date nights, my wife and I alternate between trying new places and revisiting a dozen or so "greatest hits". If we find ourselves in the mood for tried-and-true margaritas, we'll come to this family-owned restaurant in Romeoville about a mile south of I-55 on Weber Rd. Their house chips & salsa are awesome--the green salsa is milder while the red salsa is hotter. You can get a large margarita frozen or on-the-rocks ($15), but expect them to be strong either way. My wife enjoys their Michelada ($9), a drink similar to a bloody mary that's made with beer instead of vodka. We always get the queso fundido con chorizo ($10.75), a marvelously greasy appetizer that comes with corn or flour tortillas. Sometimes our tummies are fine afterwards, sometimes the grease goes through us like an angry lightning bolt. It's so good I'll happily suffer the consequences the next day, IDGAF. Bread = 4.5 Circuses = 4.5 Tacos al pastor ($3.50/ea) get a thumbs-up, however the tampiqueña ($22) was a little disappointing. I know skirt steak is generally a tougher cut, but this was greyer and chewier than what I've gotten at other places. It was served with an enchilada, rice, beans, lettuce and tomato. The best thing on the menu is unquestionably the burrito suizas ($11), a gigantic 1-1/2lb burrito filled with meat, beans, veggies and sour cream with melted cheese on top. It's as tasty as it is massive and will feed a hungry person for two meals! Their vanilla flan ($4.50) is pretty good, too. * TL;DR * Burritos Mi Tierra is one of our favorite Mexican spots in the area, and the unexpected closure of Naperville's On the Border (R.I.P) means we'll probably come back here more often. Service has been consistent, the décor is cute, and their margaritas are some of the best around. Queso fundido and burrito suizas are standout dishes, authentic and fairly-priced. We hope these guys remain in business for a long time! Muy recomendable.
